Chapter 691 - Chapter 691: The Creator Gods

Arceus, the creator deity of the Pokemon world, the supreme being above all legendary beasts, the one who rules over eighteen elemental plates, each representing the power of a Pokemon type.

To the Olympian gods, even if what stood before them was merely a "beast," it was not one they could afford to underestimate.

No, this level of divine beast was something they had to look up to.

Sensing the exalted, unfathomable power within the creature before him, Zeus felt a wave of fear seize him.

Such a being… could likely defeat the King of Gods himself with ease.

If this were the outside world, perhaps Arceus would be unable to fully unleash its power of creation due to being on foreign ground.

In that case, the combined might of Olympus might still resist for a time.

But now, they were not within the domain of Greece. They were inside Alaric's Reality Marble, within the Sea of Chaos.

Here, no one had the advantage of home ground. Here, it was nothing but raw power clashing head-on.

And in such a clash… how could they possibly withstand a Creator God?

"Damn it… how could a mere human possibly summon such a terrifying existence!" At the thought, Zeus's resolve faltered.

What struck him hardest was that the human stood proudly atop Arceus's head, and the divine beast itself seemed to accept it willingly,

As if…

As if it regarded him as its master.

But how could that be?

How could such a mighty Creator God treat a mortal as its master?

Just who exactly was this mortal?

While Zeus racked his brain in despair, Alaric was far from satisfied with merely summoning Arceus.

In his hand, he raised three cards, the Sky Dragon of Osiris, the Winged Dragon of Ra, and Obelisk the Tormentor. His voice rang out, resonating with power:

"In my name, let the Three Phantom Gods unite! Come forth, the Light of Creation, The Creator God of Light, Horakhty, !"

At his command, the three gods disengaged from their battles against Hermes, Apollo, and Ares.

In truth, the three Olympians had been no match for them.

Hermes, though quick, had been ravaged by Osiris's thunderbolts. His wounds slowed his speed, leaving him on the verge of collapse.

Apollo had fared better, holding his own against the blazing Ra. Yet Ra's brilliance rivaled the sun itself, Apollo's divine power and arrows were insufficient.

Their solar forces clashed evenly, but when it came to hand-to-hand combat… Apollo was nothing but a child before the Winged Dragon.

As for Ares, his brutal fight with Obelisk had been fierce, but Obelisk's defense far surpassed his own. The war god was already staggering, nearly crushed by the battle.

Now the three gods withdrew, regrouping. But after witnessing the fates of the time beasts before them, they knew, this brief reprieve was no blessing.

As expected, under the gaze of all the Olympians, the Three Phantom Gods transformed into three beams of light.

Red, yellow, and blue, the three primary colors merged, birthing the original light. The light of creation.

Soon, the light shaped itself into human form.

A goddess clad in resplendent golden armor emerged.

Her eyes closed in serenity, she stood behind Alaric, her body bathed in pure white radiance.

This light was not as searing as the suns of the two solar deities earlier. It was soft, gentle, but its power far surpassed even theirs.

It was the power to create all things.

This was the one and only being in Yu-Gi-Oh! of the unique race "Creator God", the goddess of light and hope, the Creator God of Light, Horakhty.

A second Creator God had appeared.

The gods of Olympus were struck dumb.

Their eyes turned to the mortal mage who stood upon the Creator Beast, now shielded by the Creator Goddess herself, their gazes filled with awe and dread.

Compared to the newly risen Goddess of Magic, they realized, it was this human mage who was their true, most terrifying enemy.

For his mastery of divine power far surpassed that of the goddess herself.

Within his Reality Marble, he had called forth, with mortal flesh and borrowed divinity, not one but two Creator Gods, beings above gods.

Of course, these were not the true Arceus or the true Horakhty.

Summoned within his Reality Marble, they did not possess the full, genuine power of the supreme Creator Gods.

But the Olympians did not know that.

Indeed, none of them had ever seen the true Creator Gods. They could not comprehend their true power.

Thus, faced with beings whose strength so vastly surpassed their own, they instinctively believed them to be real.

For a moment, they were utterly cowed by Alaric.

A single Creator God was beyond their ability to resist. Two? Impossible.

"Such an enemy… there is no way we can contend with him."

Zeus let out a bitter laugh as he stared at the two incomprehensibly great beings. "Who could have imagined that these mages were capable of such feats?"

"We should never have approached them with hostility from the start," Hera said, regret creeping into her voice. "Who could have thought they concealed such power?"

Perhaps because they stood at the edge of despair, Zeus, the once selfish and wrathful god, suddenly grew calm.

"It's far too late for regrets now." His voice resounded, commanding and solemn. The majesty of the King of Gods radiated as he spoke.

"Our only hope lies in combining all of our strength into Aegis. If we pour everything we have into it, perhaps… perhaps there is still a chance."

The Olympians nodded grimly.

Among all the relics of Greece, the strongest in defense was Zeus's Aegis.

If even it could not withstand their foe's assault, then there was nothing left, only the lament that Olympus had reached its destined end.

As the gods poured what little power remained into the Aegis, Alaric also resolved to end this quickly.

The "World" was pressing ever harder against his Reality Marble. He could feel it, the barrier could hold for no more than a single strike.

"Then let us attack."

Staring at the gods before him, Alaric's voice was as cold and final as a judge's decree.

"Arceus, Judgment Pebbles!"

Arceus roared in answer. The eighteen plates spun around its body, and countless radiant blasts, each imbued with the essence of a different attribute, gathered around it.

"And now, Horakhty! Light of Creation!"

Behind Alaric, the goddess of creation crossed her arms before her chest. From her form, the blinding, pure-white power of creation began to surge forth.

The final assault was about to descend.
