Chapter 60: A New horse for the princess (II).
"A new horse?!" (Princess Camille) nearly leapt from her chair, her eyes wide with excitement. For a moment, the usually composed princess looked like a child again, pure joy lighting her face. Oh, how she envied her brothers, always allowed to ride for their studies while she was confined indoors with her endless lessons in helping her become a prim and proper princess.
Embroidery, etiquette, language learning, polite conversation at afternoon teas and, well, that was almost all of it, really.
Rowan chuckled quietly, clearly pleased with her reaction.
"Mm. A new horse," She confirmed, amusement flickering in her voice. "We'll be visiting the ranch in the village- it's owned by an old friend of mine."
The friend she was talking about is her long time acquaintance who has joined her in making deals in horses for the border military's cavalry, Miss Charlie Green.
