Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: Homeroom Teacher? Nah

Stepping off from the limousine, we started walking towards the gates of Sakura Tokyo Nurturing School.

Staring intently at my face, Kushida-san opened her cherry lips and once again asked,

"Are you truly sure you're alright, Aki-kun? If not, we could rush to the infirmary first before heading to the class; maybe you got hurt somewhere from the earlier incident." With worry gracingher beautiful face, she suggested.

Appreciating her care and thoughtfulness, I smiled gently towards her, reassuring her once again.

"I'm fine. Anyway, we're already late, and it will not do us any merit if we get any later."

Pushing her worries away, she decided to listen to Yuuki Aki's words so as not to seem annoying and bothersome to him.

Urging the group, he pointed in front of the gate of the school, "Look, there's already someone waiting in front of the gate; let's make haste, as it's already past the time of our first homeroom meeting."

Waiting in front of the gate, a young woman with long brown hair tied in a ponytail, brown eyes, and a curvy body, wearing a black blazer with a white polo shirt underneath, a short black skirt, stockings, and a pair of black heels, looked at our group, holding a phone on one side and papers in her other hand.

With a straight face she stared at our group and said,

"You guys are late."

Before any of us opened our mouths, with a serious expression, she continued,

"The school already learnt of the incident, and I was just informed to guide you guys to your classroom. Coincidentally, you all are from the same class." This cleared us of any thoughts of getting punished for getting late.

Looking in front of us, she introduced herself, "My name is Chiyabashira Sae, and I will be your homeroom teacher. I teach Japanese history, and from today until the last day of your school, I will be in Class D."

Handing us the papers and student ID cards, she started walking, leading us inside the school towards our classroom. Looking at the papers, it contains the schools and regulations.

'It seems like we are forbidden from contacting anyone outside the school, but I bet my mother would bypass that.' Thinking about it, I could not help shaking my head in exasperation at my mother's weird, excessive actions.

I was born into a very respectable, strong, wealthy, and influential family. My father is the current prime minister of Japan, and my mother's father is the current 5-star general.

My mother married my father due to the arranged marriage and learnt to love my father as time passed, giving birth to me. My father also loves my mother, but due to his paperworkand meetings, he can't give too much time to my mother; due to that, my mother became quite an extremely obsessive mother, giving me too much of her love.

I love both of my parents, but Mom's behaviour should be fixed as I am getting older, and it's giving me a headache how much my mother is smothering me with her love and controlling whom I can interact with and be with. It's one of the reasons why I went to this school.

'She should be fuming right now about the incident earlier; they would be lucky if their arms are still intact at the end of the day.' Thinking so, I could not help but feel pity towards those robbers.

Temporarily removing the thought of my mother at the back of my mind, I looked in front, and I can't help but admire our teacher's plump backside while listening to her giving some information about the school: 'When the world gives you golden peaches, you should appreciate it, especially if that someone teaches.'

Back in my past life I wouldn't even think about such stuff, but after my reincarnation I began reorganising and contemplating my thoughts and actions from my last life.

If only I had accepted Lilith's love, she could have helped more in the war and not hidden from my shadows, fearing I would push her away, knowing I am loyal to my goddess Bestet, even though I also have affection towards Lilith.

If only I had become more decisive and decided to force those gods to fight with us, we could have avoided many tragic deaths and planets that became barren after the invasion of the Abyss creatures.

Looking back, I had made many mistakes when I was Shiro, the Hero King, the Pillar of the Mortals, and the Snow Knight of Bestet, the Goddess of Protection.

This life I will be more decisive and have more fun, as although I have moments of joy, much of my time in my past life was consumed by getting stronger, fighting for the weak, looking for comrades that can fight, and finally fighting the abyss creatures, only giving little time to indulging my goddess. Although I always leave her satisfied, I can't help but be a bit sorry for only giving her little of my time back then.

This time I would give my all for my family, friends, loved ones, and especially lovers. Now that I know that reincarnation does exist, I will look for my goddess, turning the world upsidedown if needed.

'In this life, if I fall for someone, I will take them by my side and never let them go. I'll protect them and give my all even if I have to destroy an entire cosmos.'

Thinking so with a lifeless gaze, I affirmed my newfound convictions.

Awakening from my thoughts, I was met by Horikita-san tugging my armsleeve, looking at me, and whispering in a low voice, "Hey, isn't this school too indulgent with its students? Giving 100,000 points in conversion to yen per month to students is way too overboard."

Not so surprised, unlike the 4 in the group, as I earn much more than 100,000 yen in a month due to my inventions and innovations, I thought about the information that we just received from Chiyabashira-sensei and couldn't help but muse, 'Yeah, there's no doubt that there's something strange about those points; no way students can just receive those for free, as even scholar students that take student loans from their respective prestigious schools aren't so generous without adding another clause that will make the students give enough merits to their schools.'

Continuing her explanation, she turned around and said, "With those student ID cards, you can buy anything from any shops and facilities you can see around campus grounds. On that note, do be careful about how you purchase and use your points, as anything and everything within school grounds is purchasable."

"How about you, Sensei? Can I buy you?" Saying it with a bit of seriousness and a playful tone in my voice, I asked.

*Gasp

Looking at the group behind me, I heard Kushida-san gasp, and the 3 of them looked with gaping mouths in my direction, while Koenji-kun just nodded at me with appreciation.

Paying no mind to Koenji, I directed my focus towards our teacher and waited for her answer.

Looking at my face intently with a serious face, Sae-sensei, whom I decided to call her that in my head as her last name is a mouthful, decided to ignore my question and just continued telling us about the points.

"Students' cards can be used by swiping them on machines just like credit cards; they work the same way. The school measures the abilities of its own students. Just like I said earlier with your other classmates, everyone of you who passed the test has already shown some level of merit.

The number of points you gain is the reflection of your current skills. Do spend the point however you want without holding back.

The points, however, will be taken back at the end of your studies here in the academy, which will be the day you all graduate, since it will be impossible to monetise the points outside of the school.

You can also transfer your points to someone if you want. However, forcing someone to get points is prohibited and will get you punished. "The school is quite strict on matters concerning bullying," she said, ending with an icy tone.

Looking in front of us, a classroom with a plate plastered on the door, 'Class D', can be seen.

"Get in now; it seems your classmates are starting their introductions." Looking at us, Sae-sensei urged us to get in the classroom.

Bowing towards Sae-Sensei, the group of 5 opened the door and decided to finally enter their classroom one by one.

With them all inside, I was the only one left outside; I heard Sae-sensei call out to me.

"10 million."

"What?" With a puzzled face, I asked her.

Looking at me with a serious face, she answered me.

"10 million points – if you can have that amount and present it to me before you graduate, you can buy me.

I don't know why someone of your calibre is in this school, much less in this class."

With a mischievous smile she continued, "But I wholeheartedly welcome you in Class D."

With those parting words, she left me, and I started opening the door towards my current battlefield.

With a glint in my sapphire eyes, I thought, 'Just 10 million points, Sae-sensei? That's way too low.' With that thought I entered the classroom.
