The drumming of my fingers against my desk produces the only other sound in my office, besides the ring back tone as I wait for Accalia to answer my call, that is.
"Yes, Nate?" she picks up around thirty seconds after I dialed her, sounding a lot more cheerful than I expected her to.
"Yes, good morning!" I clear my throat before speaking again, "I came by your room this morning and the maid told me you were with your mother. I didn't want to disturb you, but I hope you're feeling better since yesterday,"
"Yes!" her pitch rises noticeably, "I had breakfast with my parents this morning, but I am fine, I promise. I am sorry I left without saying anything. How are you doing?"
"No need to apologize," I smile even though she can't see me, "I am alright. I am in my office in Eldersville. I'll see you when I get back then,"
