"Clarent Blood Arthur: Rebellion Against My Beautiful Father!"
Like a crimson lightning bolt, Mordred's Noble Phantasm slammed into the royal barrier.
An A+-rank Anti-Army Noble Phantasm was enough to make several cracks spread across Eggy's barrier.
But this was to be expected. Eggy had no time to focus on the barrier right now. Her hands were clasped together as her consciousness reached toward the Root.
Invading a world governed by laws she could not fully comprehend was no simple task. Fortunately, with Requiem in position and the Crown rotating outside the World, this realm's laws were forced to yield to the energy of the Order. The Counter Force had no time to respond to the attack from the coffin of weapons, allowing Eggy to turn those forces to her advantage and anchor the Root.
Mysterious runes floated around her as the "gate" before her grew clearer and clearer.
CREAKKKKKK
The cracks spread rapidly, and Mordred's attack shattered the royal barrier.
However, Clarent was exhausted by the strike, and the crimson beam could go no farther beyond the barrier.
But it was enough...
"HAHAHA! The oppressors must die!!"
With the barrier gone, Spartacus was the first to charge in, followed by Mordred, and finally the Giant Golem. Each step shook paradise itself, and Eggy's barrier could endure no more as it finally shattered.
"They broke the barrier?! Kya~ Darling is going to be mad."
Miku panicked. Her greatest strength lay in crowd control, but with Solomon blocking her abilities, her power had dropped significantly. Even so, she still had more than just mass control at her disposal. The keyboard spun around her...
"Gabriel: Rondo!"
AAAAAAAHHH!!
The melody spread out, forcing Spartacus and Mordred to halt for a few seconds before they continued their charge. As for the Golem, since it was generating its own Inherent Barrier, Miku's attacks had no effect on it.
"Ehh~ no way. Gabriel can't stop them."
Miku pouted. There was no helping it. She knew better than anyone that she was one of the weakest Spirits and unsuited for destruction. Servants with high magical Endurance could withstand her voice. That frustrated her deeply. Unfortunately, she didn't possess the Throne. Otherwise, her voice would cover the World itself, and everyone would fall under her charm.
BOOM, BOOM, BOOM
But Miku wasn't alone. Origami was already aware of the difficulty. She teleported in from the other battlefield, and her pillars bombarded Mordred, Spartacus, and the Golem.
"That's the way, Origami-san. When Darling wakes up and rewards me, I'll tell him we should have a cute trio~..."
"Shut up. The reward will be mine. Stay out of my business."
Twisting like a worm, Miku imagined herself and Origami hugging and kissing alongside their beloved Darling. The thought made her blush, while Origami had no intention of sharing the cake.
Was this a joke?
Her first love wasn't about to share him with another woman...
"Damn it!"
Mordred cursed. Miku was easy to deal with as long as her sound was blocked, but Origami was different. Her Anti-Army 'B+' hunting pillars were more than enough to leave anyone defenseless.
On top of that, Origami wasn't weak in close combat either. She and Kurumi were the ones with the most combat experience.
Even so, it wasn't enough to stop the Giant Golem and Spartacus.
"Phoebus Catastrophe!"
And this time, there was someone else to counter the Angel of Extinction.
Atalanta's arrows fell like rain.
"Metatron!"
The pillars gathered around Origami, forming a barrier to shield her from the downpour of arrows...
"This won't work. My arrows can't reach her..."
Unlike Chiron, Atalanta's arrows were better suited for large-scale combat, forcing Origami to halt her hunt.
Even with the long range of her Noble Phantasm, she still couldn't pierce Metatron's defense.
"Don't worry. We don't need to win. We just need to bring that tower down..."
Jeanne clenched her teeth.
Kotori had Karna to keep her in check, but Origami was different. She was the Angel of Extinction. It would take at least an 'A++'-rank Noble Phantasm to bring her down.
Jeanne glanced back. Of all the Servants who had been summoned, the only one still unmoving was Humbaba.
That colossal being was the only one capable of changing the situation, but she also knew it wouldn't be easy. Too many Command Spells had already been used, and forcing Humbaba to act was no simple matter.
That Servant's Master was incredibly powerful—so much so that Jeanne felt the pressure and didn't wish to offend a Goddess.
To help or not to help?
That was Ishtar's dilemma. Through the shared vision between herself and Humbaba, she knew the Servants didn't have the advantage, at least not yet. Unless Humbaba acted, it would be difficult to break the stalemate, and time was the one thing they lacked.
Ishtar hesitated. Making an enemy of Adam was a terrible idea. Nothing said Adam would kill everyone. Perhaps he could become an ally—or even her husband. She was the Goddess of Beauty. Adam already had many Evas. Maybe she could become one of them, or even go further, charm him, and turn him into her puppet.
But that was unrealistic. Adam hated gods, and her charm wouldn't sway him.
Even in the Garden of Eden, the serpent had to deceive Eve and resort to despicable means to make Adam fall into sin, because tempting him directly was impossible. Only Eve was his weakness.
"Ah! Whatever! Berserker, move..."
Ishtar scratched her head. Nothing was certain. At the very least, if they succeeded in this crusade, with the monster gone, her chances of ruling the World would increase.
She decided to take the gamble and hoped it would pay off.
"Zzzizizizi...."
With metallic sounds, the colossal being began to move. The mana around it triggered natural phenomena, like a living disaster. The sight didn't escape Origami's notice. Even the skies were affected, and so was she...
That forced her to unleash an AOE attack to keep everyone at bay.
"Metatron: Kadour!"
The pillars split apart and began attacking all the Servants, but this time it wasn't as effective as it had been against the Black Faction.
"Hahahaha..."
For Spartacus, who regenerated and grew larger with every attack, he had already reached the tower...
With his 'EX' Endurance, he accomplished the feat of pushing through the Angel of Extinction's defenses...
"AHHHHHHHHH!!"
Unfortunately, he couldn't attack the tower. Miku was waiting for him with her voice—but this time, there was a difference in scale.
Before, Miku had managed to blow him away. This time, Spartacus, strengthened and enlarged by Origami's attacks, was far more powerful. Her voice only managed to push him back...
"Ehh~... Beauty, you have to bring Darling back. We can't stop them anymore..."
The Golem regenerated and had grown too large for Origami to stop. Spartacus regenerated and grew stronger by the moment. Mordred was too slippery for the pillars to hit, and Atalanta was locked in a tug-of-war with Origami.
They had reached their limit...
"Hahaha! Make way for this King!"
And to cap it all off, Iskandar had returned. His war chariot raced forward at full speed, and with Eggy's barrier gone, it was about to crash into the tower.
"Hmph. Foolish mortals. Don't think you can defeat this Queen."
Others might despair in this situation. If the tower fell, Yuki wouldn't be able to come to the World, and they would have no choice but to wait out the effects of the Throne of Annihilation.
But Eggy wasn't alone. The hooded woman in the tower's basement sent her a message.
[Milady Queen, the connection was a success. The Greater Grail is ready for use.]
For the Greater Grail to connect to the Root, it required at least the souls of five Servants.
However, since the war hadn't officially begun, the souls of fallen Servants were returning directly to the Throne of Heroes.
But who was Eggy?
Even in the World of Martial God Asura, Mother Chun Feng had chosen her among many Asura spirits to be her child's caretaker. Because of that, Eggy was capable of imitating and reproducing heroic souls.
"Hehe, just in time. It's time for you to come to the World, my future husband~..."
The runes around her expanded, and the locks sealing the gate before her opened one by one.
Eggy had solved the combination of the Counter Force...
