Even though the weather was hot enough to roast a beast, in the Saint Fei Oasis, orcs and females were still working hard.
The hunting squad hadn't returned yet, while the orcs on rotation were taking care of the tribe's double-hump beasts, gathering with the females, or sitting by the river in groups, crafting stone tools.
Charlie and Chad held stone tools, patrolling the outskirts of the oasis. Today was their hunting squad's rotation day, and they were assigned the patrol duty.
"Oh my, it looks like this scorching season will be tough again this year," Charlie wiped the sweat off his forehead and sighed.
Seeing his brother's dejected look, Chad laughed, "We desert orcs aren't afraid of heat; it's the cold that's the most frightening."
