This principle can be easily understood with a bit of thought.
Wang Ba did not neglect this matter, yet upon hearing the sect leader Bai's words, he hesitated slightly and said:
"Ashamed, it's merely a minor victory, insignificant to the overall situation. Organizing in such a grand manner, might it lead people to lose vigilance?"
The young man in the purple robe heard this and smiled gently.
A cultivator beside him laughed and said:
"Taoist Friend Taiyi, your words are mistaken. The battle before was not a minor victory, but a great triumph. With your strength alone, you defeated five Great Bodhisattvas, dispelling the aura of decline. It made everyone see clearly that although the Supreme True Buddha is mighty, it's not invincible. Most here have come to assist like we did, so confidence is most important. As long as people's hearts are steady, the general situation remains hopeful. Therefore, this was naturally not a minor victory."
