Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Horse Treads Six Countries _1

BOOM! BOOM!

As Chu Jiangqiong fell, across the Original Continent's sky, the sun and the moon hid, causing a brief darkness. Simultaneously, all Martial Artists across all three thousand domains experienced an inexplicable feeling.

"The Divine Body has fallen, the golden age begins!"

"Finally, this golden age begins. I wonder who will suppress this era!"

"The previous era saw 638 exceptional constitutions, with the fifth-ranked Space-Time Divine Body as the most revered. I wonder how many Divine Bodies will appear this time!"

...

Across the vast continent, many world-dominating powers, supreme Great Emperors, and slumbering old ancestors emerged from the shadows, actively embracing the new golden age of cultivation.

At the heart of the continent, floating high above the distant clouds in the middle of the Voidness, stood an Eternal jade tablet. Engraved on it were 3,000 Dao Physiques. Except for the Sun Divine Body, ranked 580th, the others all sparkled with golden light.

Fortunately, this jade tablet was hidden deep within the endless Voidness, undiscovered by outsiders.

Otherwise, it would have stirred up another great commotion.

The awakening of all 3,000 special constitutions—is it a blessing or a misfortune for the Original Continent?

"You..."

Outside Hangu Pass, a surviving elder of the Celestial Gang Sect stared at Chu Jiangqiong's corpse, infuriated and despairing. He coughed up several mouthfuls of blood; the sect's hope for ascendancy had vanished just like that.

The armies and experts of the Six Nations all turned ashen-faced, their morale plummeting.

"Mighty!"

"Mighty!"

"Mighty!"

...

In stark contrast, the morale of the Qin Empire's army surged. Their faces flushed, they roared at the top of their lungs, the recent events making their blood boil.

On the Execution Platform of God, they had judged the experts of the six sects, beheaded elders, suppressed a Chosen, and executed a Divine Body!

This battle, though not the one in which they annihilated the most enemies, was the most exhilarating for them.

"Retreat quickly!"

"The Qin Emperor has broken through, Reaching the Saint Realm! The Sect Master and the Supreme Elder have been utterly defeated!"

Just then, dozens of streaks of light flew out from within Hangu Pass, fleeing in disarray. Everyone was covered in wounds, clear evidence of the fierce battle they had just endured.

Upon hearing this, the faces of the crowd turned even paler, becoming deathly white.

"The Qin Emperor has broken through, Reaching the Saint Realm! With him and the Chosen, Qin Wudao, the Six Nations are in peril!"

At the rear of the battlefield, Chu Wuji heard this and felt as if his very essence had been drained. He collapsed to the ground, overcome with despair. With an expert who had Reached the Saint Realm reinforcing it, the Qin Empire would surely soar to unprecedented heights.

In a daze, he envisioned the Qin Dynasty sweeping through the lands and unifying the East Ancient Domain, which had been in turmoil for over 100,000 years.

"Reaching the Saint Realm... Heavens, you favor the Qin Dynasty!"

The solitary Daoist Heavenfire lamented, casting one last resentful glance at Qin Wudao. He then turned and fled, disappearing into the endless wilderness like a beaten dog.

The surviving elders from the other five sects, their hearts heavy, retreated far from Hangu Pass.

"Retreat!"

The mournful sound of horns echoed across the battlefield.

Hearing the order to retreat, the terrified soldiers of the Six Nations collectively sighed in relief and quickly withdrew from the battlefield. They left behind a field of corpses, a testament to the ruthless nature of war. How many could truly return from such a battle?

"Kill!"

Seeing the enemy flee, a murderous glint flashed in Qin Wudao's eyes as he led his army in pursuit.

"Kill! Kill! Kill!"

An overwhelming torrent of battle cries erupted from the mouths of the Qin soldiers, their morale soaring like a dragon. Following closely behind Qin Wudao, they cut down the fleeing enemy.

Hearing the sounds of pursuit from behind, the soldiers of the Six Nations were terrified. No one wanted to die, so they abandoned their formations and scattered, fleeing in dozens of separate groups across the vast plains.

"After tens of thousands of years, the Qin Empire has finally broken through Hangu Pass!"

Wang Jian stroked his beard, nodding in satisfaction. The current situation is exceptionally favorable for the Qin Empire.

The Qin Emperor has Reached the Saint Realm and is stationed in the Imperial Capital, suppressing the experts of the East Ancient Domain and ensuring the eternal stability of the Qin Dynasty's rule.

Then there is the young Chosen, Qin Wudao, who has awakened a Divine Body. At merely 15 years of age, he has already broken through to the Fasang Realm, shattering the Qin Dynasty's cultivation records. His future is limitless.

Achieving either one of these would be enough to ensure the prosperity of the Qin Dynasty.

Now, with both, it is enough to propel the Qin Dynasty's rise and offer the hope of unifying the East Ancient Domain!

"Great General, let us also follow His Highness and slay the enemy!"

A general said eagerly, itching for a fight as he watched his comrades-in-arms cut down their foes.

"Go where? If everyone goes, who will guard Hangu Pass?"

Wang Jian's eyes widened. He gripped his spear tightly and declared righteously, "You all stay and guard the pass! I will go protect His Highness. Don't fall for any enemy traps!"

The generals' mouths twitched, and they cursed his shamelessness inwardly. With Heaven Realm experts by His Highness's side, does he really need your protection?

But military orders were inviolable. They could only guard the pass and watch Wang Jian depart.

"Relay the order: clean up the battlefield!"

Out of boredom, the generals led their soldiers to clear the battlefield. They carefully retrieved the bodies of their fallen comrades, laid them behind Hangu Pass, and covered them with white cloths.

For a time, an air of sorrow permeated the surroundings.

Across the boundless plains, the thunder of hooves was frantic. The Qin Dynasty soldiers galloped with abandon, their flashing weapons and armored steeds exuding a tiger's dominance over ten thousand li.

They were venting; they were reveling.

"Grandfather! Father! Did you see? We've broken through Hangu Pass! The Ninth Highness led us to victory! You can rest in peace now!"

On a small battlefield, a young Qin soldier knelt, wailing in anguish. Tears streamed down, mingling with the blood on his face, becoming tears of blood.

Fifty years ago, during a fierce battle against the Six Nations, his grandfather had been riddled with arrows and killed, struck by fifteen of them.

Twenty-five years ago, while patrolling outside Hangu Pass, his father was ambushed by soldiers of the Six Nations. They severed his limbs, flayed his flesh, and fed him to wild beasts and birds of prey.

...

Qin Wudao had witnessed similar scenes in no fewer than ten places. He gripped his blood-stained weapon, his heart inevitably growing heavy, and sighed with a multitude of emotions.

"Your Highness," Wang Jian, catching up from behind, heard Qin Wudao's emotional sigh and explained gravely, "in the nine commanderies of the Qin Dynasty, each has a population of over 100 million. However, in the three commanderies surrounding Hangu Pass, the total population does not exceed 30 million. The missing people? They all perished on the battlefield!"

Since the day I began leading troops, have not tens of millions of Qin people perished on these battlefields?

"One day, I will trample over the Six Nations, turn their imperial cities into graveyards, and their six major sects into lands of the dead!" Qin Wudao declared in a heavy voice, making the first vow since his transmigration.

"Trample the Six Nations!"

"Trample the Six Nations!"

"Trample the Six Nations...!"

Their words reached the ears of the other soldiers, every one of them galvanized. They roared in fury, their cries shaking the heavens, and their gazes upon Qin Wudao filled with a devotee's fervor.

"Relay the order! Continue the pursuit!"

Qin Wudao pointed his sword south, his killing intent soaring to the heavens.

The army surged forward, every soldier emanating a dazzling, bloody light. These lights merged, resembling a monstrous flood intent on drowning all soldiers of the Six Nations on the plains, to utterly annihilate them.

Faced with the Qin army, which was burning with the resolve to kill, the fate of the Six Nations' soldiers was all but sealed. Of their nearly 2,000,000 elite troops, only 50,000 managed to escape the plains.

Soon, news of the Six Nations' defeat spread throughout the East Ancient Domain. The Great Qi Empire, Great Jin Empire, Great Zhao Empire, Great Wei Empire, Great Yan Empire, and Great Chu Empire were all thrown into an uproar; from the imperial courts to the common people, everyone was aghast.
