6pm in Jenner's Villa....
The villa is grandly lit up by chandeliers, the decorations are extravagant and the cuisines and drinks are top notch. A lot of people that are close to Jenner's family are invited including their allies in the S rank families.
The Jenner family members are welcoming the guest. Many of the guest are curious about the man that will marry the granddaughter of the great Jenner family. Bonna is the number one female talent in the business circle on their city. She's beautiful, smart, and she comes from a wealthy family. In other words she is almost perfect. They are certain that the Jenners will choose an excellent man to be their son-in-law. Many of them are expecting that the mysterious man will be competent as well.
The crowd is so lively but the faces of Jenner family especially Bonna's parents are gloomy.
"Mr. Jenner I congratulate you for your granddaughters engagement"
"We hope they will marry soon and live in prosperity"
Robert, Christine and the five helmsman are smiling widely as if they won a lottery.
"William congratulations on your daughters engagement. I heard that Mr. Old Jenner is the one who picked your future son-in-law I'm sure he will be competent"
"Congratulations William you're about to have a best son-in-law"
'Best son-in-law? More like the worst son-in-law' William forced his smile and thank the people from the hall.
It's almost time but the main protagonist of the night are still missing. This cause the atmosphere to be awkward.
The awkward atmosphere stopped for a moment when a four goddess appeared in hall. Julie Rocks, Jane Acosta, Nicole Lopez and Megan Gonzales are too stunning for the crowd. Many sion of the wealthy families that are invited are ogling at their face and bodies. The gloomy faces of Jenner family ease up a little when they saw Bonna's friends. The four of them went to Amelia. Megan asked her "auntie where's Bonna?"
Amelia sigh and said "she's still in the dressing room she's sad and I doubt if she wants to go out, I think she's starting to have regrets about this"
"What? But auntie it's almost time" Julie is really worried not just for Bonna but to the event as well. The Jenners will be a laughingstock of the City if suddenly Bonna backs out.
Jane urged her friends to go upstairs to cheer Bonna up. "Come on let's go she needs us right now"
"We don't care if she cancelled the engagement as long as she's happy" Nicole added.
The four of them rushed to the second floor and found Bonna sitting in a sofa wearing a red elegant dress burying her face in her knees. Her sad face caused her friends to be distressed. They approach her and hugged her.
"You don't have to do this if you don't want to, I'm sure grandpa will understand you" Trisha
"But this is my promise to grandpa, I can't break it"
Trisha hold her face.. "Sis, your marriage is just to make sure that James and other son of wealthy families in other City can't marry you. The Douglas family has connections to some wealthy families out there that's why grandpa proposed that you marry to someone but it's not that necessary"
Hearing this her friends face lightened up. "You can just turn down them and you don't have to marry to someone else" Nicole said excitedly.
"I, agree grandpa Robert is just cautious" Megan sigh in relief.
Her eyes lit up when she heard her older sister's revelation. "Really?? I won't marry then. Give me a minute I'll prepare and talk to grandpa. I will give explanation to everyone"
"Nope, we will help you" all of them grin. They helped Bonna get changed and practice on how she will approach his grandfather.
In the party Robert frown "where's Bonna? She's supposed to be here right now it's time. William call her now"
"Yes father"
William is about to go to Bonna when suddenly Bonna came down stairs accompanied by five goddesses. Many people are in awe of her beauty. Murmurs can be heard in the crowd.
"She's beautiful"
"A true goddess"
"She really is the most beautiful woman in the city"
The sons of the wealthy families are ogling at Bonna's face and body.
'damn it her fiance is really lucky'
Trisha and Bonna's friends went to their table. Trisha immediately told her family about what her younger sister's decision which causes William and Amelia to be relieved. They expect that their daughter will not agree.
Christine's voice sounded in the hall "Bonna you're so beautiful, you are the perfect match for him"
Robert nodded and said "yes, you are my granddaughter and the excellent descendant of our family. I'm proud of you, I promise you will be happy in this life" Both of them had teary eyes.
"This will be our best gift for you" Christine is sobbing which caused the entire crowd to be more curious about the Jenner's future son-in-law.
Bonna instantly noticed that there must be more to the man that will be his fiance. 'gift? What are they talking about?'
She look to the crowd and said "Goodevening everyone and thank you for coming and I really appreciate it but I must tell you something"
Crowd felt uneasy.. same thoughts are lingering in everyone's mind. Bonna will turn down this engagement. The crowd are excited waiting for the drama to unfold.
Robert's face is gloomy as well as her wife. For them this is a once in a lifetime opportunity and they will use the authority that they have to force Bonna to submit.
"Bonna what's the meaning of this?" He glanced at her granddaughter coldly
She trembled the pressure and aura of her grandfather is difficult to bear even the crowd can feel it too. He is the patriarch of the Jenner family and an expert with the strength of late stage elite level.
Bonna muster all of her courage and strength and look to her grandfather's eyes. "Grandpa, I've been doing my best for the family and obeying your wishes but this time I want to decide on what I want to do especially in my marriage. This engagement.. I do-"
A lot of foot steps can be heard followed by sarcastic voice sounded in the hall. "What a lively place!"
"What are you doing here Samson?" Robert's gaze is much more colder.
Samson the head of Grant family, is one of the main person who ordered to abduct Bonna in the past. Robert can't take him down because he has the support of a powerful family from other city. Although the whole Jenner family knew that he's one of the masterminds they can't do anything about it. Seeing Samson right in their turf they can't helped but grit their teeth. Many of the guest knew about the incident. For them Samson's appearance in the party will ignite the fire more.
"How can I miss the engagement party of my godgrandaughter?" His smirk triggered Amelia.
"Yes! You are her godgrandaughter but you kidnapped her and put her in danger!" Amelia is roaring with anger.
Samson just laugh "haha, right but all I want is your assets. If you gave to me what I want back then. I wouldn't resort to any underhanded methods"
"Bastard" William stood up and about to punch him when his father hold him back and signal him to calm down.
Samson ignored William and talk to Bonna "how are you Bonna? Did you miss me?"
"I have no recollection of every worm that I met" she's fuming.
"Tsk tsk tsk, is that how Robert brought you up? I should've let my man use you. You're beautiful back then my man demanded that I let them have you because I know that Robert will hand your family's assets to me just to save you"
Robert cuts him off by saying "but someone saved Bonna and jeopardize your plan"
"True, there's some pest that save her back then. If I have known what will happen I should've use Bonna to my heart's content and also my grandson too. Then I should've pass you to my men" a maniacal laugh from Samson and his men are echoing in the hall.
Colors in Bonna's lips are drained and she's trembling. She's forever grateful to the man who saved her before. The crowd turn to Robert and see how will he react but to their surprise he is calm. However William can't take it anymore and walk to Samson slowly. He was about to punch Samson when he saw a handsome young man walking in the red carpet. Everyone saw the young man and the women in at the party swore that they will get the man's number after the party.
Even Samson is dumbfounded 'this guy is handsome who is he? I don't think he's from this city'
Bonna stood rooted in the spot, her heart is beating loudly. Even though his face matured a little her heart still remembers him. All her worries vanished in an instant and her tears escape from her eyes. The man she's looking for all this years came back to save her again.
"I heard some nasty words from your mouth old fart" he instantly vanished and appear in front of Samson. He's choking Samson with one arm. The guest including the Jenner family are shocked. Samson the helmsman of the A rank family in the city and has a vast connection to wealthy families in other city and underground forces are being choked by a young man.
"You disrespect the Jenner family, my grandparents and my fiance. I'm not a man if I don't get my revenge for my beloved woman"
'he's my fiance? And he still loves me all this time?'
Bonna's happiness go through the roof. Instantly she wants to jump and hug him on the spot but she held herself back. Her heart keeps beating rapidly and her face are red.
