Well, Ryzel also knew his limits. Even if he was really interested in studying the plants, if those plants turned out to be dangerous, he wouldn't touch them. At most, he would just ask Layton to collect them for him to study later once they returned to the Federation.

He still cherished his life to just risk it by studying dangerous plants recklessly.

They still had enough storage boxes to keep the plants from withering, so Ryzel could wait until they returned before conducting a full study.

However, if it was absolutely necessary to examine them immediately if the plants were urgently needed, then he didn't mind studying them right away, even if it meant taking some risks.
