Monday morning, Chen Emmi has dark circles under her eyes as she walks to her first class.
Yesterday, after the antidote was prepared she stayed with Bai Cai in the Art Studio and didn't close her eyes up all nightnwhile keeping a watchful eye for any complications.
He wanted to go back to the mansion but she felt it would be better to stay there. According to her grandfather's notes, he needed to drink the decoction four times and she didn't want to transport the precious ingredients. Fortunately, his pulse wasn't chaotic when she checked him this morning and it appeared the antidote was working.
Bai Cai tried to convince Emmi to return to the mansion to rest but she insisted on coming to school since it was the first day classes resumed after Winter break. She had an important assignment to turn in and didn't want any points deducted. He was reluctant but she assured him after her classes she would return to the dormitory to sleep and he could pick her up later.
