Clovis and General Sanders met one last time before the hunt began.
"So, have you made enough preparations for whatever you're going to do?" Sanders asked, a bit worried about Clovis.
"I do." Clovis nodded. He understood why Sanders was worried about him. "You don't have to think about me, General. If you can just take care of the people here so that they don't resent me, you should have fulfilled your obligation as the person from the country."
"!!!" Sanders shook his head helplessly. Absalom had the obligation to protect Clovis. That was why Clovis wanted to join them in the first place.
But all this time, Clovis had never received that so-called protection. Even when he was about to get kidnapped by other nations, their people had failed to stop the enemy. This time was no different.
