May's eyes sparkle. "Wooooowww! That's! Awesome! Awesome! Awesome!" She giggles. "So cool!"
Katheryne grins. "It really, really is."
"YAY!" May cheers and hugs her. "I'm. So. Glad! So glad! Thank you!"
Katheryne hugs her back. "You're welcome, May. Thank you for this wonderful gift."
May bobs her head. "Mhm! Mhm!"
Katheryne laughs. "You're too cute, you know that?"
May giggles and nuzzles up to her. "Heehee!"
She gives her a quick squeeze, and then skips back to the bag, retrieving Celeste's gift. She waddles over to Celeste and holds it out.
"Celeste!" She says. "For. You!"
Celeste blinks up from her drink.
She looks a little like she's been caught doing something wrong, rather than simply observing a cute display.
Maybe some of that is just the mix of confusion and shyness she's displaying at having May march up to her with a mystery gift.
I don't think I'm wrong to suspect she hasn't had many gifts.
