May is burning off energy, which is good, because I don't know how much room we'll have for her to do that during this trip. It's just a pity that her energy comes back so quickly. Nevertheless, she skids past me, running in a circle.
"Wheeee! Look! The sky is blue! The grass is green!"
Lucas chuckles, watching her as he sits on the cart. "Might as well relax with our borrowed time. Until the carriage is finished with repairs, we're not going anywhere. That's at least an hour or two."
"That's true."
May giggles, spinning around as she runs.
I look over at Lucas and tilt my head.
"Are you sure you don't need to run around in a circle like May?"
He squints at me. "Excuse you."
"It's not an insult." I hum, smirking.
"You're saying it like it is."
"Only if you interpret it that way."
Lucas grumbles and leans back in his seat, crossing his arms. "Whatever."
"Ah, do you need a glass of water?"
"Very funny."
"Mm, you look so surly I thought you might be thirsty."
