Everyone within the carriage burst into laughter, hearing that comment.
Everyone except Adam and Goro, of course. Adam was busy listening to the voices in his head, trying to make sense of them. As for Goro, he was busy eating meat.
A few moments later, everyone calmed down a little. It was only then that Adam started laughing.
He laughed and laughed and laughed.
His crazed laughter made the ladies in the carriage feel uneasy. In fact, even the men found his actions a little… spooky.
After Adam had stopped laughing, Goro turned to him with a mouth full of food and curiously asked, "Why do you laugh like that every so often?"
Adam turned to him, then made a certain gesture.
Goro arched an eyebrow. "You're crazy?"
Adam grinned and showed a thumbs-up. He then resumed drinking his sake.
Goro, on the other hand, nodded. "Understandable."
Then, he, too, resumed eating.
Meanwhile, the rest were flabbergasted.
