Adam opened his eyes.
"…What?"
He looked at his hands. They were tiny. Very tiny.
"What's going on?"
He found himself in a familiar place. An all too familiar place.
"Is this… a dream?" He murmured.
The sun cast a radiant glow on the land, bathing the field of crops in a brilliant golden glow. In the distance, Adam saw an oak tree, and under its shade… a familiar figure waited for him.
When Adam's gaze landed on this figure, his eyes involuntarily teared up. He broke into a run, trying to get to the oak tree as quickly as possible.
But his strides were short, for he found he had become a child again. A child no older than five or six years of age.
At last, after what seemed like forever, he finally arrived under the shade of the oak tree.
And there he was…
"Myu!"
A cute little kitten, with grey fur and round topaz eyes, looked at him with love and adoration.
