Adam held the bowl of dark red liquid in his hands. Before him lay the pair of eyeballs that he was going to transplant into him.
His following actions would forever change his life. He thought he was ready for it. After all, everything that had happened before had been leading him up to this point.
But suddenly… his hands began to tremble.
He slowly put down the bowl on the ground with shaky breaths.
A simple thought echoed in his mind:
After I consume this potion and transplant this pair of eyes, will I turn into something like that abomination as well?
The very thought scared him.
Based on the vast trove of knowledge he had absorbed, Adam knew that it was a common occurrence in the Greater Universe for Magi to consume the blood of magical beings. In doing so, they would receive certain traits of said magical beings.
