"Humanity is obsolete? That's some scary words…" Asad couldn't help but comment after hearing those words.
Shane could only nod as the two fell silent for a moment…
"These projects," Asad said slowly, "they could explain everything. The mutations. The cult. Maybe even the system itself…"
Shane folded his arms. "That's what I believe. The Eclipse Followers might be trying to finish what the old world couldn't. We need to find the sites where these experiments took place—and shut them down."
"Do we know where to start?"
"I've got leads," Shane replied. "Each project left behind breadcrumbs. We think one of the old research facilities tied to Project Eclipse is in Sector 20… Our scouts found some abandoned cities, and we could start from there."
Asad stood. "Then, what are we waiting for?"
