As the crowds of the marketplace began to thin and the sun was slowly dimming, Shane finally decided it was time to leave. He had bought what he needed, made a few unexpected connections, and even walked away with a new merchant ally and potential workforce.
With a simple nod of farewell to Reed, Shane turned his back to the stalls.
It was time to return to his shelter…
'I guess Kang Zhen knew not to disturb me for now.' Shane muttered to himself as he confirmed that Kang Zhen only sent a few people to observe him and didn't interact with him as he requested.
Behind him, Reed stared after Shane's retreating figure, his worn fingers clutched tight around a half-cracked tablet...
His breath caught in his throat for a second… There was disbelief etched into his face as he still couldn't believe that he had met the Rank 1 Survivor here.
