On the way to the cafeteria, the five remained silent.
Neither felt comfortable talking in front of Emily.
Soon, they arrived at the cafeteria. The cafeteria was packed with students, even more than usual.
They took their food, and after barely finding a table, they sat to eat.
"Alden, what is your plan after becoming a researcher?" Neo started the conversation.
"What? Becoming a researcher?" Emily spoke in shock. Strangely, she was very talkative when she was not talking to Alden. "A-Are you going to become a researcher?" She turned to Alden and instantly blushed.
"I just took the exam, so I am still waiting for the results," Alden said. "I still have the second part of the exam, but I am certain I will pass."
"Woah!" As she sat opposite Alden, she stood up and leaned across the table towards him. She almost stuck her face into his. "You are so amazing. How did you do that? Aren't you just a first-year like us? Did you study before coming to the academy?
