She was sitting in the bedroom reading a book when several maids knocked on the door and came in.
"Young Madam, Young Master instructed us to take away all your books."
This was a very large bedroom; Mo Lan didn't have a separate study room, so a small bookshelf was set up in the bedroom, filled with books, all of which she loved to read.
"Take them away?!" Mo Lan's expression turned slightly stern upon hearing the maid's words.
The maid nodded, "Young Master said your books are too old-fashioned, and asked us to take them away and replace them with new ones."
"No need, I don't need new books." She was very fond of these books; they brought peace to her mind.
"Young Master said, if you don't want them taken away, you must cooperate with the treatment."
Mo Lan mockingly curled her lips, "Take them away."
He thought he could use this to threaten her; how could she possibly compromise?
