Tonight was the night, and the night only for everyone to watch the fireworks and ignite them up. This Fourth of July event had everyone thrilled to see the fireworks lighting up the sky, adrenaline running through their veins.
As excited as everyone was, Yuzuha was just as eager. Coming back from the store, she walked inside the apartment and placed the bags full of fireworks down on the floor next to her feet. Once she did so, Yuzuha walked into the living room. Seeing Luna sitting on the floor as she had her headphones on, watching a CoryxKenshin video, an overjoyed smile plastered on her face as she walked towards her and bent down to her knees tapping on her shoulder. "Hey, Luna! Take those headphones off for a second! I got something to tell you!"
"Hm?" After feeling a tap on her shoulder, a small voice she could barely hear from her headphones which had indicated that the voice was Yuzuha's. Pausing the video first, Luna put down the phone in front of her before sliding her headphones down around her neck and facing her attention on Yuzuha. "Sorry, I was watching something."
"It's okay!" Accepting her small apology, Yuzuha couldn't wait any longer to give her the word. "I bought some fireworks from the store! We can light them up whenever you're ready to go!"
Once she heard about that, Luna's eyes widened in surprise. "Fireworks? Are you sure? I thought it was illegal."
"Not in Japan, they're not. So we're able to do as many as we want." Giving her an absolute smile, Yuzuha nodded.
Already excited on the idea, Luna's cheeks rose. "Wait, for real? Alright, then I'm in!"
A moment later, they head outside carrying the bags of fireworks with them and a big heavy box of fireworks display which Luna was holding in her arms. While walking outside, the two saw Hakkai and Taiju standing near a wall beside each other. With them looking the girl's way, Hakkai noticed that Luna was having trouble carrying the big heavy box of fireworks. Stepping forward, he quickly walked over and took the box from her. "I hope you don't mind me helping you carry this."
"Oh, thanks, Hakkai. But I can carry it all by myself." Thinking she might or might not need any help with holding extra stuff with her, Luna was happy Hakkai got to take the box from her when he did.
Hakkai had no response except to look away as he was carrying the firework with him. While he kept himself quiet, Taiju took a step forward before he began to walk with the rest of them. "Are we ready? Everyone is already throwing fireworks."
"Of course we are! We're going to throw better fireworks than everyone else!" Yuzuha walked forward as well, holding her bags of fireworks. "Trust me on this one, Taiju." Almost too confident, she didn't bother looking back at Taiju who was giving her a mean sideways glance.
After minutes of walking to the main street, Yuzuha, Luna, and Hakkai placed the bags and boxes of fireworks down on the hard concrete. With an excited and happy smile on her face, Luna looked over to Yuzuha and her siblings after pulling out a lighter from her pocket. "Ready? Who should be the first one to do it?" Holding the lighter out in front of her in hopes of someone taking it from her hand, she was more than ready to ignite the fireworks herself but instead wanted to give someone a chance to do it themselves.
"I think you should be the first one to do it." Yuzuha chuckled.
"Really? But it's only fair if one of you guys should do it." Luna continued to offer the lighter to one of them.
"Oh, for crying out loud!" Already losing his patience, Taiju took the lighter from Luna's hand and picked up one of the fireworks assortments.
"Eh?! Taiju? You're going to do it?" Luna looked over at him, caught by surprise that he accommodated himself.
Taiju gave a sideway glance at Luna. "Of course I am!" His eyes went back to the assortment he was holding in his hand, his impatience was growing as he returned his gaze back to Luna. "I'd rather start this shit myself than stand here and listen to you decide on who's going to light these fireworks!"
Luna went quiet until she forced out a laugh, her cheeks rose. "Yeah, Taiju! Let's goooo!" Already excited about this, she threw her arms in the air.
As his siblings were also happy and excited, Taiju grumbled a bit under his breath as he got many of the fireworks out in the open. Pulling out a lighter from his pocket and igniting the lighter as a flame appeared, he quickly ran through all of the strings attached to the fireworks and lit them all up. After he was finished, he quickly went back to his siblings and Luna as everyone watched the fireworks shoot up in the sky and start popping in the air. With different shapes, sizes, colors, and pictures of every one of them, these fireworks made lots of loud popping sounds in the sky.
Enjoying the fireworks, Luna took out her phone and quickly began recording the fireworks. As well as her friends and siblings, including them in the video, she included herself too with a peace sign in the video. "Yeeaahhh! Happy Fourth of July, everyooooone!" After that, she stopped the recording and saw Hakkai with an uncomfortable look on his face after Luna included him in the video. Looking back at him, she suddenly began to laugh, wanting him to laugh as well and feeling the vibe. "Come on, Hakkai! It's all for fun! Happy Fourth of July, right?"
