A flash of white burst from the left, where among the countless tentacles one had exploded—yet almost instantly it regenerated. But it didn't matter, for from within it, countless strands of white mana poured out, spreading across the battlefield, wrapping and entwining around every tentacle, pinning them in place.

"I'm stronger than you… faster than you… tougher than you. And even the greatest source of your strength won't change one simple fact—I won't be the one to exhaust myself first." Edward's voice cut through the air as the tentacles trembled, struggling to move. "But you already knew that, didn't you? So why not stop playing around and show me what you did to the other adventurers?"

From the tentacles, massive amounts of acid gushed forth, smothering the strands.

"Don't bother. That won't work this time," Edward declared—only to realize that the acid was merely a trigger. The tentacles swelled grotesquely before detonating, flooding the dome with a sea of slime.
