Chapter 41 - tom and anna -7

Anna was safe, while Tom and Mark hunted down their enemies. Some gave up, some fought back, but none stood a chance—Tom always won.Anna, meanwhile, stayed in Tom's home. She waited for him every day, though most nights he returned so late that she had already fallen asleep. There were days she never even saw his face. She missed him terribly, and Tom missed her just as much, but he wanted to finish his battles before giving all of himself back to her.

At last, when everything was resolved, Tom returned home. He was exhausted, but when Anna saw him, she ran into his arms. He held her tightly, his hand cradling her head, fingers brushing through her hair, his embrace fierce yet tender—as if letting her go was unthinkable.

That moment changed everything. Their closeness grew, and a week later, Tom proposed. Soon after, they were married. Even Mark had found love, though he kept it quiet.

One evening, the three of them sat together. Mark asked Anna how she was doing. He cared for her like a sister, and Tom admired their bond. They teased each other playfully, laughter filling the room. Tom, despite his massive frame and intimidating aura, made his soft, pouty face—something he showed only around Anna.

When Tom stepped out to take a call, Mark looked at Anna and said, "He's different now. I've never seen him like this. I'm happy for you both. Stay like this forever."

Anna teased him back, "And when will you introduce your love to us?"Mark chuckled. "When the time is right."

Then Anna tied a simple thread bracelet around his wrist. "For protection. You're my brother now. Stay safe… and take care of Tom too. Thank you for always being there—for him, and for me."

Mark, who had grown up as an orphan, felt something stir in his chest. Tom had been his family since their youth, but Anna's words made him feel like he truly belonged.

Later, Anna suggested a short trip, with no phones and no distractions. Mark smirked, joking, "I don't think Tom will enjoy that."

But when Tom came back and heard the idea, he smiled at Anna and said softly, "Anything for you."

Mark couldn't believe it. The man who had once been a ruthless, unyielding mafia leader was now bending so gently before love. For the first time, he saw Tom not just as a powerful figure, but as a man who had found his peace in Anna.

Soon, an important company meeting called them away. Mark left first, and before following, Tom leaned down, kissed Anna, and whispered, "See you this evening." Then he walked out, carrying both the weight of his empire and the love that had finally softened him.
