Chapter 57 - first meet

The night was stupidly beautiful — that kind of soft, glowing night where everything feels like fate is stretching its fingers toward you. And that's exactly when Ria and Roe crossed paths… the two people destiny had been waiting to shove together.

The moment Roe's eyes caught Ria, he froze.Like—bro fell hard. Her pretty face, her soft, childlike energy… something about her just pulled him in without warning.

He tried to act normal, but nope. He literally put on his mask — that invisibility cloak he used whenever he wanted zero attention — and walked after her.Yeah. A whole stalker move. A mysterious stalker, but still.

People around thought she was weird for talking to herself, but he didn't care. He kept following, step by step, like some spell had tied him to her shadow.

Meanwhile… Kri had already warned Ria about someone lurking around. But what Kri didn't know was that Ria… yeah, she fell too. That moment in the darkness — Roe sitting there looking like he'd lost his whole world — she noticed him. She didn't expect he'd notice her back.

And when he followed her?Ria low-key felt excited. Just a tiny bit. A thrill she couldn't name.

But the second she reached her house, she panicked and slammed the door.Roe stared at that closed door, blinked like he just woke up from a dream, and walked back toward Mawra with a weird ache in his chest.

Yet that night… neither of them slept.

Roe kept remembering her face. The way she smiled to herself. The innocent things she did that shouldn't matter but suddenly mattered so much.

And Ria…She tossed and turned, mumbling to herself like a lovesick idiot.

"Who was that handsome man who followed me? And why can't I forget him?"Her heart kept replaying his silhouette in the night.

Kri, of course, had zero patience for this.

Kri: "Girl, stop being delusional. You're losing focus these days. He's just a pervert. Stay away from weird men."

Ria: "You don't get it… it wasn't scary. It was… exciting."

Kri: "Stop. Right. There."

Ria: "Huh?"

Kri: "There is NOTHING romantic about being followed home."

Ria: "Do you really think he's a pervert?"

Kri: "One hundred percent."

Ria: "Anyway, he's good. I… still like him."

Kri: "Are you CRAZY?!"

Ria: "I'm just saying—"

Kri: "No. Don't be delusional. Think about yourself first."

Ria didn't answer. Because deep down, she already knew…Whatever happened that night wasn't just fear.It was the beginning of something she wasn't ready to admit —but couldn't deny anymore.
