Chapter 4 - Escaping

Pill bottles appeared, each containing collected drops of blood. The old man lit a portion of the remaining blood, burning it until a large, shining, pure golden-purple droplet emerged, releasing a powerful pressure that lasted only a moment before vanishing. The old man searched desperately, but the precious prime-tier bloodline was gone.

Luna had secretly stored it in her system inventory. She couldn't allow them to have it.

"Young Master, the heart blood has disappeared," the old man reported.

"What?" the young master exclaimed.

"Forget about it," a new voice said. A black shadow entered the scene. "We don't want those families on our tail."

"Greetings, Ancestor Abyssal Lord," the young master said, acknowledging the shadow.

(Big sis, who is he? Why are you trembling?) Luna asked.

("Luna, we need to escape and warn Mira immediately.")

(Why?)

("He is incredibly strong, close to reaching that rank.")

(What? How? No one above Prime can enter the Forbidden Zone. How is he still alive?)

The shadow's voice cut through their conversation. "Hey, little rats, wondering how I bypassed the restrictions?"

Loita and Luna were left speechless, unable to understand the situation.

"Luna, use full concealment power," Loita commanded urgently.

"So, they took the heart blood," the old man said through gritted teeth.

"Princess, if you surrender, we can only trap Master's soul in Soul Bane. Your life is more valuable than his soul," Durken shouted, but received no reply.

"No need to shout. They won't escape this space confinement. She will be used for breeding to produce more blood and souls from the fay race."

"Abyssal Master, wasn't that race extinct?"

"Yes, but we procured their semen from the black market. Despite our efforts, no other race has pure fay blood. That's why she's important, whether dead or alive."

Loita and Luna were shaken.

("Luna, use all your power to make a hole in the concealment. We are in danger, and Mira will also be at risk.")

"Ancestor, why can't we move his soul?" one of the subordinates asked.

"How can you weak ants affect an eternal soul? Are you seeking death?"

The Ancestor formed a spell and sprinkled something on the soul.

("Luna, get ready. After he finishes sealing that bastard's soul, we will pull away.")

(Can we do it?)

("His rank will temporarily drop. We'll have half an hour. That should be enough.")

(Okay.)

"Hope nothing goes wrong," Luna thought.

"Done. Now you can take his soul. I need to regain my strength," the Ancestor said, sitting cross-legged and meditating.

("Luna, no time to waste.")

She began burning everything around her to boost her power.

Outside, a red sphere appeared.

"What's going on here?" a voice asked as it touched the sphere, sensing weak origin energy absorption.

"Devourer Space Confinement Technique," came the realization.

"Who could it be? Those backstabbing Abyssal rats?"

"This is not good."

"Purple Big Mouth Parrot, didn't see this coming?"

"No wonder 'that' family didn't act. What will they do? After all, he still has their bloodline."

"I bet they will do nothing. They'll likely be pleased."

"They wouldn't accept the son of a fallen family into their prestigious clan. I pity the mistress. Her family was destroyed, and now the last hope for the Chaos family is about to end without an heir."

"What a fate."

"Wait, didn't that big mouth parrot mention something about a necklace?"

"Oh, he gave it to Loita."

"Does she know?"

"Whatever."

A hand waved, forming a large water dragon that drilled into the red sphere. The woman burned everything to break through it. Time was running short, and she knew that any delay would bring regret.

The shadow snorted. "How can an ant break my confinement?"

Luna and Loita were drilling into opposite sides of the same spot, Luna moving much faster.

("Luna, faster! We have no time. I'll lock him with my aura.")

Seconds ticked away as cracks appeared on the sphere and it shattered.

"What! This ant has some strength, but her origin is almost completely burnt."

The shadow looked at the blue-haired woman who was attacking them, forcing her to her knees.

"Blue Princess, long time no see."

She turned toward the voice. "So, 'that' family sent one of their branch members to kill their own?"

"Princess, you're mistaken. He's a member of the fallen family, not ours. He doesn't have our surname or bloodline. Our family extracted it when he was little. His whore mother will be refined into a sex doll, and we'll find her and you and your sisters too."

"You—" She was furious but weakened.

"Young Master wants new sex dolls."

She was shaken, unable to fight back, and felt helpless as her eyes lost all light.

"That's more like it. You can serve the Young Master in peace. Ha ha ha."

/"Little Mira, pull yourself together. I'll try to find a way to rescue you. The space confinement is gone, but the space is chaotic."/

"Also, has that whore been cured? Ha ha ha."

"Ha ha, the family head is truly evil. How could he do that? Eternal Aphrodite lives up to her name. I wish she had seen me first. I would have taken care of her, but why did she do that? I wonder how she'll feel finding out he's dead. Ha ha ha."

Loita used all her strength to send the soul fragments into the green vortex she had created. The shadow felt something and tried to pull it back but only managed to retrieve part of the soul. Loita had prepared well but couldn't save the soul intact. Luna managed to send Mira to the Eternal Garden, but she was attacked before fully disappearing.

A blue light lit up brightly, blinding them before vanishing into the unstable space.

"Prepare yourself. I will make sure to pay tenfold for what you have done," a weak voice echoed in the void.

"Wait… how?" the shadow exclaimed in disbelief. "Attack her now!"

The shadow attacked Mira while pulling the remaining soul fragments. Others joined the attack, but it was too late. She was gone, leaving only traces of blood behind.

"Damn it! How could they escape through unstable space?"

"Young Master, we should report back."

"Hey, give me his origin. Also, don't contact them as agreed or 'they' will wipe out your race."

"But… you promised."

"Don't worry. If I don't show his origin and this record, others will come to eliminate you for hunting a descendant of the Guardian."

"And we can't have that, can we?"

"Okay, I'll wait at the usual spot."

The void realm crumbled into pieces, disappearing into starry space. Durken stood behind the shadow, watching the crumbling realm before it too vanished.

"Do you remember the content of 'that' cultivation technique?" the shadow asked.

"Only the introduction," Durken replied.

"How stupid are you? It was an above-prime eternal-grade technique."

"What! Is it true, Ancestor? That bastard left it ungraded and used it to clean his feet?"

"What! We must find that system. But don't worry. As long as that blue-haired woman is with them, we will find them. I marked her origin through the cracks."

"Ancestor, we should hurry. That rich bastard might sneak up on us and take all the benefits."

"I know, but don't worry. We'll deal with it after returning to our realm."

In a bright, huge hall, a young man was on his knees.

"Speak."

"Family Master, we got him, but some soul fragments escaped."

"Were those rats there?"

"Yes, the Blue Princess was there, but she escaped after burning her origin."

"Why didn't we see this coming? Damn it, so that was their purpose all along."

"You may leave. Also, give all those things to them. They are still useful. Have them lay low."

"The Council Board will be active."

The hall was silent for a while.

"No wonder," someone said.

"What, Big Brother?" asked another.

"Remember, those two rats burned half their origin to escape."

"The red origin crumbled before she could escape. We must find her no matter what."

"How did she escape?"

"Don't worry, she is marked."

"So, that's why you let them escape."

"How do you expect me to corner them?"

"Big Brother, you are wise as ever. But now it's going to be hard."

"Look at the fate strings."

After a moment of silence, another spoke up.

"So that was their reason."

"Didn't you notice anything else?"

"What?"

"That bastard's origin was fake."

"So, that whore was telling the truth."

"I don't know, but I also sensed the breath of supreme origin on it."

"Then we have to find them fast."

"I don't think we need to exert much effort."

"Why?"

"Nurturing and reforming a soul requires soul flowers or soul eternal spring."

"Also, those twins and the two rats will need it. That poison is soul-decaying petal."

"Their semi-eternal souls will decay in ten months."

"So, they'll look for the spring?"

"No, they will come to get it."

"Where?"

"Fairy Garden," one voice said.

"That whore's private garden," another added.

"But it was given to the Imperial Court."

"No, they're guarding it, waiting for the owner."

"Wait, didn't the fay and eternal realms have them?"

"But the Council Board destroyed those realms in anger."

"I felt them a while ago, but they've completely disappeared."

"Me too."

Suddenly, someone burst in, shouting.

"Master, the Chaos family realms have crumbled and collapsed. The realm's core and resources are missing."

"The Chaos family's rank is dropping rapidly. Only one remains."

"Which is?"

"Luna Chaos. She is only two years old."

"Are you sure?"

"Master, her soul has existed for two years now."

"Was she born or a synthetic soul? What about her origin and cultivation?"

"She has none. She is a mortal."

"Cultivating origin is almost impossible even for a primordial being. She is lucky if she is truly a prime being child, even if she is mortal."

"Why not spread the word to the primordial beings to hunt her for her eternal soul?"

"Master, why are the Seven Flowers semi-prime beings? They had fully developed origins. Why only semi-eternal souls?"

"You may not know, but they were for some mortal families that served under the Chaos family. They had no core and couldn't even be immortal beings, let alone ascend to semi-prime."

"How?"

"It's a secret we are desperate to uncover. But that whore has tough lips. All I know is they made an oath to her after saving their families from the Abyssal and Devourer while losing her entire family in the process, becoming an orphan sole heir."

"Mira... Mira... Mira... Come to the Red Cliff. We have no time. Mae and Lona are poisoned. We have at most five months." Luna sent the voice message before passing out. Nearby, two unconscious ladies lay in bloody, torn clothes.
