Chapter 4995 - Chapter 4053: MU: Super Body Major Event (96)_2

"Speak." Constantine was straightforward.

A few people still stubbornly kept silent, and as a result, flames began to creep along the rope in Constantine's hand. Star Lord let out another scream and then said, "I'll talk! I'll talk!"

"We saw the Green Lantern Fleet flying out from here, and we thought maybe there would be a few unlucky loners hitching a ride, and then we ran into you."

"No, you were after me," Constantine said. "You thought Constantine was easy to bully, so you targeted me. Where did you start following me from?"

"We didn't... No! No! We got the information from the market in Centaurus. Over there is a black market where you can buy all kinds of cosmic news you want."

"Who sold it to you?"

"Another Constantine, your counterpart! He said Batman issued a rallying call, and most Constantines were not at the base, so now is the time they're returning. So we staked out the road, and then we found you."

Strange couldn't help but sigh inwardly; this Constantine really doesn't hesitate to set up his teammates, selling such intelligence?

"What did that Constantine look like?" Constantine asked.

Star Lord trembled and pointed at Strange.

Strange was about to curse, but he still said, "Most Constantines look like me, don't you have more specific information?"

"You right away wanted to grab my ass; how the hell would I have the time to look closely?!" Star Lord roared.

Strange's lips moved: "Then never mind."

Constantine frowned slightly, seemingly pondering how serious this leak of his whereabouts was. But just then, they awaited the arriving patrol ship.

This kind of patrol ship is autopiloted, but it's filled with numerous Type Demons to tie up attackers through sheer numbers when hit.

The two Constantines jumped on the ship with the captives. Strange looked back worriedly at their previous hiding spot. Since he stopped, Shiller hadn't made a sound, and he wasn't worried Shiller couldn't keep up, but rather afraid of Shiller's spooky way of keeping up.

"Shiller? Shiller?" Strange called out in his mind.

"Stop calling, I can't do Mind Reading," Shiller's voice appeared in his ear.

Strange was momentarily speechless, then asked in his mind, "Where are you? You haven't possessed Constantine, have you?"

"No, I'm in his briefcase."

"Huh?"

"The canister in his briefcase seals a Demon, the gray mist ate that thing and then turned into its likeness squatting in the canister."

Strange couldn't help giving him a mental thumbs up, but then said puzzledly, "Demon? Which Demon? Who did he capture?"

"Judging by the taste, it's not from our side," Shiller replied, "it should be one he brought from their world."

"What did he bring a Demon for?"

"Probably to siphon power from it, and can also release it to bite if necessary, might even use it as raw material, lots of uses."

"What if he extracts your power?"

"Let him have it; I don't lack that bit of power."

"I mean, won't there be any contamination or something?"

"Uh... hopefully not, right?"

"What if he wants you to bite people?"

"Let him; the gray mist isn't against biting."

"And if he wants to use you as raw material?"

"Most likely it'll blow up."

"What's the small remaining chance, what could he create?"

"No worries, it shouldn't destroy the universe."

Strange sighed deeply in his mind, having a small taste of Eternity's helplessness.

The two jumped onto the ship's deck. Strange pushed open the door and peered inside. Luckily, the Type Demons were generally kept in canisters, which looked scary but weren't a big problem as long as they weren't touched.

"Hey? Batman?" Constantine was already calling Batman, saying, "We've caught a few prisoners here, claiming they are Guardians of the Galaxy. We are on patrol ship F1312 right now, adjust the course to take the ship directly to the main star."

Strange didn't catch what Batman said, but the ship soon changed course. The two entered the cabin, and the ship obviously transitioned, soon arriving over Apocalypse Star.

True Apocalypse Star is a somewhat terrifying black planet, but once landed, you find this black is a glimmering obsidian, actually quite beautiful.

Strange followed behind Constantine, leading the Guardians of the Galaxy inside. He was actually a bit nervous, fearing being discovered.

"Don't worry," Shiller said in his mind, "I used the gray mist to shield your mind wave, no one can read your thoughts."

"Isn't this just asking to get caught?"

"Of course not, most Constantines have ways to resist mind reading, otherwise they would've died to Demons long ago. Not being able to read their minds isn't anything unusual, relax."

"Should I not act too serious then?" Strange said, then shivered and added, "Don't count on me mimicking what real Constantine does, oh God, I can't even bring myself to say it."

"No need, isn't there already a serious one standing in front of you? Just don't act too much like Doctor Strange."

"But if later we have to fight..."

"There are plenty of people here, just stand by and watch, it shouldn't be a problem. Besides, Constantine doesn't like using magic, and Batman won't push him in that aspect."

Even though he said that, Strange still felt uneasy. Actually, as a con artist, he had great mental resilience, but what could he do when facing Batman?

As the Primary Universe Batman approached the two, Strange's heart pounded. Fortunately, the Primary Universe Batman's attention was on the Guardians of the Galaxy members, not caring much about the two Constantines.

Constantine recounted to the Primary Universe Batman how he encountered the Guardians of the Galaxy. Primary Universe Batman nodded and said, "Thanks for your hard work, go get checked at the hospital, then rest, you don't need to attend the next meeting."

Constantine visibly breathed a sigh of relief, carrying the suitcase and lighting a cigarette on his way to the medical room. Strange followed him, casually asking, "What's in your suitcase?"

"Some gadgets," Constantine said nonchalantly, "weapons and materials that might come in handy."

"Weapons? Are they powerful?"

"Not really, but some materials are quite valuable."

"Yeah," Strange thought to himself, "they're probably unprecedentedly valuable now."
