As it turned out, Doji Industries totally creates human weapons. As it was explained to Yang, their research on the Witchblade allowed them to create artificial weapons capable of even turning men into pseudo-hosts. Given the Witchblade only bonds itself to women, they really went above and beyond in making the bio-mechanical weapons.
Reiji and Hiroki had taken Yang to their testing facility near the Tokyo bay, where she went face to face with one of the biomechanical monsters Doji had created. Sadly, it was weak. Strong to regular humans, sure. But to Yang? Its steel skin and guns weren't anything to write home about.
She hadn't even needed to use the Witchblade. She pummeled it beyond repair after overestimating its strength.
Yang was a bit disappointed. As something made from an artifact such as the Witchblade, she expected them to be capable of more. Thankfully, she was granted the opportunity to fight more. During the night, she was going out to fight more by luring them to her with the activation of the Witchblade.
She was seated in the passenger's seat next to Hiroki while he drove her back to Tokyo's busiest area. While she sat, Hiroki looked at the setting sun and slid his glasses up the bridge of his nose.
"It's almost time. Best to do these.. well, I'd hardly call them fights.. ah, 'hunts' later at night. As to not alarm the normal people not associated with our world." Hiroki said, stopping the car by a fountain as the setting sun dipped behind the tall buildings around them.
"Yeah but we got time still. That boss of yours sent you all the data on the NSWF, yeah? Tell me about 'em while we wait." Yang said, kicking her legs up on the dashboard and putting her hands behind her head.
"Very well." Hiroki replied, taking out his personal tablet and opening the cache of information Reiji had sent him an hour prior.
"The NSWF and the Doji group were Japan's collaborators when researching the Witchblade. Where Doji sought to extend the power so that men could wield that power, the NSWF sought to create more of the Witchblade and improve their creations. They successfully created what is known as 'Cloneblades', copies of the Witchblade. They're wielded by the women they indoctrinated after having 'saved' them in the Earthquake seven years ago. You may encounter a few, so you should be careful. That's what director Takayama says, anyway." Hiroki stated, seeing Yang still seated there with her legs kicked up on the dashboard.
"Well I guess I'll look into 'em tomorrow then. They might be strong.." Yang mused with an excited grin.
"Yes.. well.... it's hard to gauge strength by your standards. But to further clarify, the NSWF isn't like the Doji group. It's more of a cult than a business. Disguised as a charity organization with government ties. If you do end up going there yourself, expect Cloneblade wielders to protect their leader. His name is Tatsuoki Furimizu. The 'Father' of the NSWF."
Yang saved the name in her head and nodded. Seeing as Hiroki had finished speaking, she opened the door and hopped out.
"Ah! Please remember to actually use the Witchblade this time. It should call to the X-cons within a few kilometers to you. Perhaps even the Cloneblades. The radius very well have been increased, thanks to your compatability and your own power, so keep that in mind." Hiroki added while operating a drone with a camera below it, which started following Yang as she walked over to the empty fountain area.
She noticed the distinct lack of people around, likely having been evacuated by Doji's people and took a seat on a nearby bench while looking at the golden bracelet on her wrist.
"Alright! Let's give this a go then." Yang clenched her hand and an eager response radiated from the Witchblade.
*RUMBLE!*
The ground shook around her as the Witchblade glowed, its golden metal quickly enveloping parts of Yang's body and encasing her in a revealing, biomechanical armor. Her long blonde locks bristling, bladed tips forming at the ends of her hair as yellow marks materialized over her cheeks, stopping just below her eyes. Her eyes' sclera had changed as well, turning black while her lilac irises glowed with power.
*CRACK!*
Her bladed heel crushed the concrete beneath her, as if it were the most fragile material. But beyond the physical changes, the overwhelming aura manifested as a golden glow that resembled a wildfire, with Yang in the middle.
It was almost as if the Witchblade were rejoicing, crying out a declaration. A declaration of what? Only Yang seemed to realize, given her incredulous smirk when looking at her wrist, where the light purple gem that was the Witchblade's core was.
"You're somethin' else huh? Not that I mind showing some skin.. it might be kinda awkward using you in my world without being labeled as an exhibitionist~!" Yang snorted in amusement, noting how exposed her belly, cleavage, rear and upper thighs were.
*Hum~*
"Oh really? The greater the danger, the more armor coverage? But I can control you, so.." Yang muttered to herself, absorbed in her talk with the artifact as several beings converged on her location.
Yang scratched the back of her head, "Hey it's kinda a given I don't trust you yet! We just met, you know? And you encouraged Masane to attack me."
*Hum~*
"Yeah I DID enjoy the warmup and all but don't tell me you weren't planning to do anything to her and Riko." Yang retorted, noticing several biomechanical, moaning tanks and other strange beings running over to her from the nearby parks and buildings.
*Hum~!*
"Aha! I knew it. You know Riko's like six, right? Weird choice of a host if you ask me. Using poor Masane like that.. tch, lucky I pulled your attention away from her." Yang responded, clicking her tongue as several of the X-cons swarmed her like starving zombies.
*Hum~!!*
Yang ducked away from three hits that pulverized the stone fountain in its entirety. Her body arched back as if she were playing limbo. Her grin going from easygoing, to battle-hungry.
"Ya know.. yelling 'DODGE!' only distracts me! I'm not a noob." Yang stated before her hand shot up, her clawed fingers piercing through the hard metal arm of the strange, tank-looking X-con before she ripped it off its body and stood straight, looking at the horde of crazed experimental subjects.
*Clack~*
Ember Celica emerged, forming from the Witchblade as an improved version that looked just as biomechanical as the artifact itself. Yang's grin widened as she cocked back her fists.
"Nice~" Then proceeded to demolish two of the X-cons in front of her with flaming shotgun rounds that turned the monstrousities to molten slag.
"It's her...!" "Let me make you waaaarm..." "Aaaaahh...!!" Several of the X-cons were stirred into a frenzy, trying to swarm Yang.
*BANG!* *BANG!*
Yang quickly leapt up before they could dogpile on her. Their attacks all differing- from superheated microwave limbs, extreme voltage cables, explosives, massive blades and molecular acid, all of them unleashed their attacks and annihilated the fountain area.
*Hum~*
"Huh.. only ten percent? Yeah as many as there are.. I think this'll be pretty easy, even just using you." Yang smirked, her bladed heels cracking on the streetlight she landed on.
"So then I guess this'll be just be a display." Armored golden wings emerged from Yang's back as blades formed from her gauntlet's forearms.
Leaping off the streetlight, Yang dove straight into the X-cons and started killing. The experimental subjects were only half alive, totally consumed by a bloodlust radiating from the artificial Witchblades imbedded into them.
"Aaaaagh!!" Scream after scream, the X-cons found themselves being cut down by Yang's bladed kicks and arms. "W-Waaaaar-ghk!" One had tried to capture Yang and incinerate her, only to have itself melted when Yang's bladed fingers pierced through its head and blast it with the Witchblade's own pyrokinesis.
"Wow even got your own fire eh?" Yang stated, impressed. Her hair shooting out as bladed spears and impaling ten X-cons before returning to normal as she bisected several more in the blink of an eye.
*Hum~*
"Your Mom? So the fire and light stuff's from her. Then I guess your Dad is darkness and all huh? Weird.. we have some things in common." Yang said as she spun on her heel and decapitated the last X-con, standing in a perfect circle, surrounded by blood.
Yang let out a hum and watched the dead X-cons, ensuring nothing was left alive. While not personally responsible for their creation, she felt an obligation to put them out of their misery. Internally, she had decided to add Doji to the list of things to take care of in this world. But only after Masane and Riko were okay.
"Oh dear.. this new host is so.. powerful..." A female, husky voice called out nearby, getting Yang's attention.
Arriving from down the nearby street, two women in armor similar to the Witchblade were approaching. One was careful, watching Yang warily. The other? She was practically drooling. Her face flushed, her eyes glowing blue. Her own armor was a deep blue, with glowing cyan lines etched into the left side, following the curve of her breast. Her white hair had the same blade-like properties Yang did.
"Doctor... I need.... I need to.." The woman in the blue armor muttered, her tongue darting out and licking her lips.
"Shiori.. we're here only to see the host's capabilities." The other armored woman, in nearly all white but the blue glowing accents tried to intervene before the other jumped at Yang.
"SHE'S MINE! I CAN'T TAKE IT!!" Shiori, the blue armored woman with the big breasts yelled, her glowing blue eyes fixated on Yang as a two headed scythe blade emerged from her wrist. Immediately sprinting at Yang like a woman possessed.
*CLANG!!*
The ground exploded as Shiori slammed the sycthe blade down at Yang, who raised her arm and took the hit with her own blade. Shiori blushed and started kicking and swinging the blade, hard enough and fast enough to give a run of the mill Huntsman a challenge. By all means, she was better than even ten of the X-cons at once. But even still, with just the Witchblade as a comparison? Her current ability was only equal to about less than a quarter of its capability.
*CLANG!!* *CLANG!!* *CLANG!!*
Yang moved back, dodging a swing at her head as Shiori lunged forward and stomped the earth with a predatory gaze.
"I like you.. I'm beginning to really... really like you~" Shiori exclaimed breathlessly, making Yang raise a brow.
"I can't say I feel the same, lady." Yang smirked and drove her elbow into Shiori's exposed belly hard enough to send her flying into the streetlight she stood atop earlier while unintentionally aura farming.
"Shiori! That's enough. We got all the information we need. Come back-" "Actually.. while I got you guys here.. I gotta do something. Wouldn't feel quite right letting you kill yourselves. Even a lady that looks like she wants to either fight me or.. do the other 'F' word to me." Yang joked, then became serious as she looked at their wrists.
"Those things are killing you. Even those not fully compatable with this-" Yang pointed at the Witchblade's jewel on her wrist, "get their vitality sapped away the more they push its abilities. Those things? They're time bombs."
Yang warned, though it only seemed to be considered by one of them. Shiori picked herself up, grabbing hold of the streetlight's pole.
"I don't care.. I don't care about any of that. I need... I need...." Shiori's hand roamed up her midriff until coming up to her mouth, where she dragged her tongue along the length of her claw. Her blush and glowing eyes intensifying, making her armor begin to glow.
"Shiori..? What is..." The white armored woman muttered, watching Shiori's transformation until..
*CRACK!!!*
Yang, seeing the start of something concerning had launched herself forward and punched Shiori in the head, hard enough to smash her face into the pavement. Not hard enough to split her head open but definitely enough to give her a concussion. The dust settled as Yang stood up from Shiori's unconscious body, her transformation stopping. Seeing the incredulous look the other woman gave her, Yang threw her hands up defensively.
"If she carried on like that, she would have died. This thing, cloneblade you call it? It was sapping away her life fast." Yang explained before touching the Cloneblade on Shiori's wrist and focusing.
*Hum~!*
"Do it, please. Poor things.. seeing all this up close is revolting." Yang muttered.
The Witchblade returned a low hum and shone before the Cloneblade crumbled to dust. Yang then stood up and offered her hand to the woman in white armor.
"Gimme yours. That thing'll kill you if you don't remove it soon. And no, this is non negotiable."
Hearing the ultimatum, the woman in white armor, Reina Soho, pursed her lips and sighed. Her armor dematerializing.
"I always suspected there to be a flaw in the Cloneblades. Why go this far for us though? You could easily have killed us, given what you've shown capable of." Reina asked carefully.
"Heh? There was never a need to do that though. Besides, if I just killed you.. I wouldn't be the Yang my sister knew. Imagine.. an edgelord Yang! Ha!" Yang waved off her concern with a sort of carefree response that could only come from her.
