Chapter 7 - Chapter 7

I faded awake, someone was screaming instantly alerting me.

Something was off in the air, the thoughts finally struck eachother, Dementors. My eyes cleared, the world outside the compartment had gone black but it was not from lack of light but rather a plural of Dementors piling up.

I turned to see Luna braced into the corner, tears seemed to well up in her eyes. I stopped paying attention to the effect and turned to the cause.

I rolled off the seat, landing in the perfect position to quickly stand up and face. My hand moved and unboxed my wand rolling it out into my hand.

I didn't know any spells and without them I'd have no excuse for how I dispelled a horde of Dementors.

It's horribly cold in here, I could at least use my magic to warm the compartment and have it be explained away as indirect magic.

The chill did not bite me, I bit it the frosty windows cleared.

The Dementors became all the more fierce, a slimy decayed hand crept in with long slender fingers cracking the door open.

Whispers broke through, discernible if I were listening and not focusing on what to do.

I moved back against the glass, to make room as the first Dementor broke in.

"Expecto patronum!!!" A dreamy voice beckoned.

A light shone out greater than anything man made, angelic was the only description.

The Dementor was sent flying in a shrill scream taking its fellows along with it.

An ethereal bunny danced in the wake of this angelic force. I turned to Luna, she had tears streaming down her face, how could she cast a patronus? Let alone in the conditions she was in?

She should've been put in Griffyndor...

She turned to me, with her arms already out from her wand stance it was easy for her to hug me.

She started laughing. "Why the hell are you so warm?"

"Luna, not to ruin your moment but could you stay here while I get a figure of authority."

She practically fell back into her seat.

I took a step and peered out of the compartment, down the carriage to the end many were doing the same, with their eyes turned towards the front end and thus, me.

"Did you do that?" The nearest quizzed.

I shook my head and stepped out heading towards the front, these compartments were filled with terrified students who were wary just at the sight of me.

I'd only passed three when I came to the front end, the door was wide open and with the Dementors outside it was freezing.

I closed it and continued forward to the next railcar, the door at the back of this one was also open so I closed it.

Don't these demonic spirits have any decency.

Speak of the devil, a black haze floated by the window to the outside, literally. It stopped and watched me then pressed itself against the window pane, getting a hard on no doubt.

On the other side of things, in a compartment a group of randoms watched me warily.

I moved onto the next in a single great stride and yet again randoms, another and another.

The fourth compartment was halfway open voices could be heard, my anticipation grew...

A small step to savor the emotion, another, I was such a greedy bastard and lady luck did not care for it.

A girl jumped out wand at the ready, young and red headed, Ginny Weasley I knew. She lowered her wand.

"Sorry, I'd thought you a dementor."

"So thats what they're called..." I'd need a reason for every peice of knowledge, and I need to make it a habit, one slip up even a minor one could have unforseen consequences.

"Mhhh. Do you want a peice of chocolate, professer Lupin gave us plenty to spare."

"Could I see professer lupin, I told my friend I'd return with an authority figure."

"OH" she winced in a sympathy of sorts. "He left to go to the front of the train... to speak to an authority figure"

Fuck you lady luck, but not really because I knew Lupin would leave to speak to the conductor and too send an owl ahead.

She moved back into the crowded compartment allowing me to move forward and observe the compartment unobstructed.

As I stared at the 5 denizens, Harry, Ron, Hermione, Neville, and Ginny a horrible feeling overcame me, there was a buzzing pain along my lower ribs.

It was not my body acting out alone, it seems my conscience is not fully mine and was either acting out against me or just not complying or maybe my human conscience is hitting way above his/our weight class and having an adverse effect on me.

The moment was wasted by my thoughts and it'd be better to leave.

"I'll need to head back to my compartment, my friend is quite emotional." I too was quite emotional, that emotion being embarrassment? At such a low level of social interaction? Now I was disgusted...

I imagine Nathan/Sauron to perceive his own existence as like reading a story in 1st and 3rd points of veiw where the POVs are not on alternate paragraphs but rather merged over eachother.
