His words made both Kisha and Duke raise an eyebrow; they hadn't expected Rakan to be so eloquent or so flattering. For someone with such a fierce reputation, he certainly knew how to speak beautifully when he wanted to.
Then again, it wasn't too surprising. Having clawed his way up from the bottom rung of society, Rakan had long ago mastered the art of fawning over others to survive. It was a skill that served him well back when he was just another small-time gang lackey.
