Chapter 558 - Wither's Curse

Alex nodded and kept walking.

Using Jack's memories, he moved through the familiar streets without getting lost and headed home.

The city looked festive. Colorful banners hung between rooftops and moved in the breeze.

Merchants had set up stalls on both sides of the main road. They called out to the crowds and tried to draw people over.

Vendors sold fresh bread, roasted meat on skewers, bright fabrics, and simple handmade trinkets.

Children ran between carts and laughed. Street performers played music and did tricks.

A juggler tossed flaming torches into the air. People around him watched and gasped.

Alex slipped through the busy street and watched everything.

He thought, 'It's not much different from the VR worlds I played before, but I guess this much is expected from a capital city.'

He also knew this bright mood was not the whole truth of the city. As he walked, the scenery slowly changed.

The streets grew rougher. Vagrants leaned against walls or loitered at corners.
