A big moon in the sky was shining with a distant and somber light, almost giving the quiet world below a romantic atmosphere despite its picturesque theme reminiscent of the underworld in humans' folklore.
The quiet was lifeless, at least in the part of the world under the affection showered by the moon. That was until it was interrupted by footsteps that seemed to have come from the distance, or to have suddenly appeared.

They were poised, measured and steady, walking calmly on the smooth floor of the dark path. It moved in the direction of the ten meters high pavilion at the end of the path, but on a closer look, it was not as much a pavilion as it was an antechamber for the sprawling construct behind it.
