Chapter 657 - Humans’ Limits 0657- Concern, chill

Jack froze in his steps, and swallowed hard. This time, it was not a desert's yellow sand that made him feel dry. It was the apprehension born from the fact that what Lucas might find interesting might not make him feel the same thing at all.

*Gulp~*

"Say, Ghost, any idea why the other side doesn't just send people to gang up against you? I don't mean the dozen that always come to let you crush them, I mean like hundreds of people?"

Everyone turned to glance at Jack, making him immediately raise his hands and wave them in denial:

"Don't get me wrong, I am definitely not holding any grudge against you for the sand I ate or the way you flew me like a rag… Hurgh…"

Jack stopped, because that definitely looked like a list of things that could have made him hold a grudge. And he might not have known at first the reason why he almost got cooked beggar chicken style, but after Lucas appeared to pick him up by the scruff of his neck, he deduced what likely happened.
