A desolate celestial body in the dark vacuum was now seeing its first group of visitors in a long stretch of time. It was at the edge of the Empire, a distance of a few long-distance jumps from the interior where the civilized world was nested. Like when The Adventurer stopped within a cloud of what remained of a destroyed world that might or might not have once had living beings, and Lucas trained on a star that had survived and lived into another phase of its long life, the desolate celestial body had become the new training base of Lucas's choice.
He was on the surface of the planet without water, at least on the above ground. The planet was thus called a planet simply because it was round, and sizable. Nevertheless, it had no sun shining on it, neither on the side where Lucas was nor on the other side. That made it cold, its temperature capable of rivaling the one in the depths of the poles of a life planet.
