"Commander! A message from above!"
Even though it was the protocol, there had been no need for the redundant report from below. The female commander beside Lucas lowered her head to her terminal, her anxious expression turning dignified as she ordered in a voice that spread through the whole bridge:
"Standby for now."
A second later, after all verifications had been completed, the decrypted message appeared before the eyes of the female commander. While she took note of the contents, Lucas leisurely uncrossed his legs and crossed them again, reversing their positions while making himself even more comfortable.
As he leisurely looked at the officers operating at their posts with a faint smile, he felt the movement at the side, and the gaze that fell on him in the next moment. His eyes gained an unsurprised smile as he turned to meet the gaze of the owner of the seat he was occupying.
In a careless tone, he teased:
"Was the message for me?"
"Yes."
"An order?"
