- Felix -

"Fufufufu."

"Ghahaha."

As both me and Sylvia laughed in unison, I discreetly analyzed her. She looked just as she did in Sarion's memories; not a thing had changed about her. She was an incredibly beautiful woman. Sarion really scored with her. But she was a taken woman, so I didn't do anything more than a brief glance even if I already knew what she looked like bare.

She was stronger than Elmesia by a small margin, at least when only considering EP. She was likely more knowledgeable than Elmesia which could create a bigger discrepancy between Elmesia's and Sylvia's combat power.

I could also sense the Ultimate Skill in her soul, which I wanted.

I had been pretty surprised when I felt Elmesia's Thought Communication. I had pushed Evelyn pretty far with Lover, basically making it so that the process of massaging me felt pleasurable for her. On top of that, I could use Lover to give myself an allure of sorts, likely similar to what the Mero Mero no mi does for Boa Hancock, maybe more.

Othinus said I could literally charm an entire kingdom if I wanted to with ease with the allure, but I wouldn't do that of course. That was boring. Like I needed the adoration of people who were just living their lives. My ego wasn't such that it needed constant gratification.

Still, it was safe to say Evelyn was a mess. Though looking at Elmesia, it seems that she either cut the connection, or she just didn't feel much of what Evelyn did.

I originally thought Elmesia had sent me a Thought Communication to finally come clean about Evelyn due to what I did, but it seems not.

I probably shouldn't, but seeing Elmesia looking perfectly composed makes me want to push her further. It probably wasn't wise, but I was a Demon Lord, I could do what I want!

It was mostly my ego pushing me forward; I was self aware enough to know that. Though I knew I wouldn't be feeling anything of the sort if I didn't like Elmesia as an individual; she was fun.

I expanded my senses out of the meeting room we were in, raising a brow as I sensed the oddness with the atmosphere. It was as if the surrounding area was forcefully warped by something. An Ultimate Skill maybe? It was going back to normal now, so I unfortunately couldn't observe the effects of it in action.

"I agree, Master. It seems a weather related Ultimate Skill was used recently. I cannot copy it just yet as I did not get to see it in action, merely the after effects after the Laws have already been manipulated."

'It's fine, I have a feeling I know who the Ultimate Skill belongs to.' I told Othinus as I eyed Sylvia.

She didn't have the Ultimate Skill back when Sarion was with her, so she developed it after he had already become Laplace. I did know she was highly skilled in Lightning Manipulation, thanks to Sarion's memories, better than Raiden was at this point. Though that was expected with the vast gap in experience between the two of them.

Though I imagine with Raiden's evolution into a Divine Dragon, Raiden will be capable of bridging the gap soon.

I'm guessing Sylvia had a Lightning related Ultimate Skill, which only made me want it more, if only so that Othinus had more data to work with when restructuring Raiden's Ultimate Skill.

"Can we return to the topic at hand?" Elmesia sighed, interrupting our laughter.

"Indeed. I have heard that my husband is in your possession?" Sylvia said as she gestured to an empty seat.

As I sat down I responded. "Indeed, you could say he's in a spatial storage of some kind with me."

Sylvia smiled, and I felt a small bit of pressure from her. "Excellent. What would it take to give him to us?" She asked with a serene smile, though I could tell she was anything but serene.

Which was fair considering her circumstances. I didn't take it personally.

"Rimuru, Luminous, and I were originally more than fine with giving him over as a gift of our new alliance, but Elmesia claimed that wasn't propper. I'm still open to that if you want." I said to Sylvia.

Sylvia shook her head. "As much as I desire my husband back, I will not damage the face of this Dynasty if you are being so cooperative. Ask what you wish for. It is not like we will not be able to pay it. Sarion is wealthier than you can imagine, in knowledge and riches."

Elmesia nodded. "Mother is right Felix. What you are offering to us is something priceless. Seeing as you were the one to subdue Laplace, it is only right that you at least ask for something."

"Oh? He defeated Sarion's new self?" Sylvia said with an impressed tone of voice. "He was once a Hero. His Skills would make that no easy feat."

I blinked in confusion. "Elmesia did tell you I have an Ultimate Skill, did she not?"

Now it was Sylvia's turn to blink in confusion. "She did not."

Elmesia sheepishly laughed. "Ah, I must have forgotten."

Sylvia looked at her with a half lidded gaze before sighing. "I suppose it is only natural that you managed to defeat him then. While his Unique Skills were monstrously powerful, he still could not fight a skilled Ultimate Skill wielder, especially without his memories and techniques. Now I apologize for rushing, but what do you wish for, I desire to immediately begin researching ways to recover my husband." Sylvia stated.

Before I told Sylvia about how I restored Sarion, I first decided to ask for my reward. If they were so eager to reward me then I knew just what I wanted.

"Can you show me your Ultimate Skill then?" I asked.

Elmesia sighed. "I suppose I should have expected this."

"Ara, what do you mean, my daughter?" Sylvia asked as she stared at me with cautious eyes.

"It seems that Felix has an interest in Ultimate Skills. He asked the same of me the last time he visited." Elmesia explained.

I nodded. "I just wish to see every Ultimate Skill I come across." It technically wasn't a lie, I just wasn't saying the whole truth.

Sylvia's eyes narrowed for a moment before she eventually nodded. "Very well. If that is what you desire then so be it."

Heh, score. Sylvia was a True Ancestor. The only other True Ancestor that had an Ultimate Skill currently alive was Luminous, and hers was a Sin Series one, so she set the bar rather high for the kind of Skills a True Ancestor should have. Though Luminous was a cut above the others of her kind, according to herself of course.

Sylvia raised the palm of her hand as Lightning began to flicker around her hand, the very air seemed to crackle with raw energy. I narrowed my eyes as I analyzed the phenomenon before me. As expected, it was a powerful Lightning-based Ultimate Skill, but there was something more to it, something beyond just elemental manipulation.

Elemental Manipulation alone is nothing to make fun of. When taken to its heights, entire planets could be torn apart with a single Lightning strike. Space is an element as well, after all, so I wasn't disappointed that she didn't have an Angelic or Demonic Series Skill.

As I spread my senses out once again, I felt how the world around us was passively changing in response to Sylvia's actions. The way the atmospheric pressure shifted reminded me of weather manipulation, possibly even control over storms themselves, rather than only Lightning. The authority behind it seemed to rival Veldora's own, which was a feat in itself.

I could sense the skies darkening, just on passive use of her Ultimate Skill, as if the world was ready to aid Sylvia in chucking down Lightning and whatnot. It was as if the sky was just one of Sylvia's passive domains and was responding to her will.

I could even feel a thrum of Divinity in the air for some reason.

"The Ultimate Skill: Indra, Lord of Thunderstorm has been analyzed." I heard Othinus voice out in my head.

I quickly realized just why the sky was basically bending to Sylvia's whims. Indra, Lord of Thunderstorm didn't just give her control over Lightning, but all storm-related phenomena, including Lightning, Wind, and possibly even Precipitation. Sylvia could also turn into Lightning, just as Raiden could, letting her move at speeds most couldn't even perceive.

Not only that, but Indra made use of the world's Divinity as well. When Lightning or other weather related phenomena came down from the sky, the world would aid it. Basically, if Sylvia were to send down Lightning from the sky, the Lightning would passively absorb some of the world's Divinity, turning the Lightning into Divine Lightning.

The world's Divinity was a cut above the rest as well. Greater than the strength of my own Divinity at the very least, and at minimum as strong as that of a True Dragon's Divinity. It gave Sylvia's Lightning an even higher threat level when it came from the sky.

This wasn't something I had heard of before, so it seems that Sylvia was special in that regard.

"Indeed. I will be making use of this data to modify the ideas I had in mind for Raiden's Ultimate Skill."

'Thank you.'

When used through an Ultimate Skill, something like that was monstrously powerful.

"I believe that Elmesia's Ultimate Skill: Vayu, Lord of Heavenly Wind has been split off from Indra, Lord of Thunderstorm's own authority."

'That's what I thought too.'

Vayu, Lord of Heavenly Wind wasn't a subordinate Skill or anything, it was just a branched off version of Indra, Lord of Thunderstorm. The reason for this, I'm guessing, is that Sylvia aided in Elmesia's formation of an Ultimate Skill, causing Elmesia's to take on the traits of Sylvia's Ultimate Skill.

It was more concentrated in the Wind department, however, so its authority over Wind was greater than Sylvia's own.

I'm sure this data will make things easier for Othinus.

"If you wish for a more grand show of Indra, then that will have to be at a separate location." Sylvia said as she stopped.

"No, this is more than fine. Thank you." I said with a smile.

She raised a brow. "Is that so? Very well then."

Both Elmesia and Sylvia now waited eagerly for me to fulfil my part of the deal. "Before I take the man in question out, let me tell you something first."

Elmesia and Sylvia's eyes both dangerously narrowed, and I could feel that if I didn't explain myself, both would get rather upset.

I raised my hand in surrender. "No bad surprises, promise." I didn't take offense to their actions and feelings. Both probably weren't in the best state of mind right now. I'm imagining Elmesia is worse off because of my earlier… fun.

"I actually managed to restore Sarion's memories myself. Think of it as a gift towards our alliance in good faith."

Both Elmesia and Sylvia's eyes widened.

"You what?!" Elmesia squawked.

Sylvia expressed her surprise in a different way. "Did you truly?!" She said, completely abandoning the mature vibe she had going before. Looking at her eyes I could see the sheer depth of emotion within them. Now she just seemed like a woman desperate to see her spouse, completely laid bare.

Seeing no reason to keep them waiting, I snapped my fingers, a portal leading to my Infinity Space forming beside me. I gently floated Sarion out of the portal. And I did mean Sarion, not Laplace.

They had the same face and hair, but their vibes were entirely different. His memories as Laplace were gone as they weren't part of his Sarion identity.

Sylvia gasped as she shakily stood up, one of her hands reaching towards Sarion's cheeks as he floated towards her. She gently grabbed him in a princess carry. Then his eyes slowly opened.

Sarion blinked, his golden eyes hazy as they adjusted to the dimly lit room. For a moment, there was only confusion in his gaze before recognition dawned upon him.

"Sylvia…?" His voice was hoarse.

Sylvia's lips trembled, her fingers tightening around him as though she feared he might disappear if she let go. "Yes, my love… It's me." She whispered.

He reached up, cupping Sylvia's cheek with a calloused hand. "You're still as beautiful as ever." He murmured. I had basically put the information of what had happened into his head to save others the explanation.

Sylvia let out a choked laugh, tears glistening in her eyes. "Idiot." She muttered, pressing her forehead against his.

Elmesia, who had been watching with wide eyes, finally let out a long breath and relaxed back into her chair. "I can't believe it… You actually did it." She murmured, looking at me with something that was a mix of awe, disbelief, and what seemed to be a mix of other emotions.

Like pride in herself for some reason? She seemed self-assured. I think I'm just going to give up trying to understand the erofu's thoughts. Clearly she had a few screws loose.

I shrugged, a smirk playing on my lips. "Told you I'd deliver."

Sylvia turned to me then, her expression unreadable for a moment before she bowed her head deeply. "I owe you more than I can ever repay, Felix. You have done something that even I had given up on. You returned my husband to me when I had resigned myself to losing him forever." Her grip on Sarion tightened for a moment before she continued. "For that, I owe you a debt far greater than just revealing my Ultimate Skill."

I waved a hand dismissively. "No need to get all formal. Consider it a favor between allies and friends."

"Friends?" She smiled. "Very well then, a favor between friends. Should you need my help anytime, I will be there as many times as is required." She said.

"I appreciate it."

Sarion chuckled, his voice still weak. "Looks like I'm in your debt too. That's a rare position for me to be in."

"Ghahaha, just like how I'm sure your current position isn't a rare one for you to be in." I said referring to how he was in a princess carry.

Thanks to his memories, I knew that this was a frequent scene in the past. Sylvia was the one who always initiated.

Sarion chuckled. "Aye, that is true." He said with a smile, though he was having a hard time tearing his eyes away from Elmesia once he spotted her.

I liked him. Perhaps that was because I just knew him so well thanks to his memories, but he was a decent man and I could respect that. Plus, I knew him well enough now to know that he would help me with almost anything if I needed it.

"Is she….?" Sarion whispered.

Sylvia nodded, a smile on her face. "She is."

Sarion was practically frozen, looking at Elmesia, still in his no doubt comfortable princess carry. Sarion's golden eyes softened as he gazed at Elmesia, taking in every detail of her face.

"She looks just as beautiful as you, my dear." He said to Sylvia.

Sylvia giggled, seeming far lighter than before. "Fufufu, but of course. She is our daughter, after all."

His gaze flickered to his wife, filled with gratitude and awe. "She has your face and eyes."

Elmesia seemed to be similarly frozen before she spoke up. "I do believe we should give them some privacy, Felix." Elmesia said, though she wasn't looking at me, but right back at her father.

I looked at her oddly. I didn't expect that from her. It was almost as if she was running away from the interaction.

As she was getting ready to leave, Sarion spoke up. "My daughter, please remain with us. I wish to get to know you better." Sarion almost begged as he was carefully let down from his princess carry.

"I-I." She sighed. "I must attend to our guest." She said, referring to me. I blinked at being used as a shield. Did Elmesia also have daddy issues or something?

"I'm fine. Enjoy your moment, Elmesia. I'll visit the Divine Tree while I wait." I did want to get the finer details of our alliance set now that I had all but secured the Sorcerous Dynasty of Sarion's support and loyalty.

Elmesia glared at me for ruining her place before Sylvia spoke up. "Come daughter, meet your father." Sylvia said with a happy smile.

Elmesia hesitantly stepped forward, her hair swaying gently behind her. As she slowly approached her father I created a portal leading to the Divine Tree where I'd wait. As I was stepping through though I managed to hear Elmesia, Sylvia, and Sarion thank me all at once again, which made me smile.

Once I stepped through, the portal closing behind me, I took a deep breath of the energy rich air of the Divine Tree. I was feeling happy, and I knew why. It wasn't about getting an ally or anything, it was a different kind of happiness than the one I felt when with my lovers, or having fun with my friends.

I was just happy that I managed to help someone who I considered a friend reunite with their family. I was happy at Elmesia's happiness, at Sylvia's happiness. It was nice that despite being a person who took away so many "happy endings" from others, I still managed to give some people their happy endings.

I didn't regret any of my actions of course, and I wasn't going to justify what I've done in the past, but it was still nice.

I had already hid myself and the portal I made in an illusion so no one had noticed me yet. Though going by the unnatural breeze I felt the moment I stepped through the portal, I have a feeling the Divine Tree noticed my presence

Seeing as I was already here, I might as well check on Kenya and see how he's doing now. I'm sure Rimuru is rather curious and I would be going to see Rimuru soon, so I could tell him about Kenya then.

It hasn't been long enough that I actually expect to see him grow as a person and grow stronger, but it didn't hurt to see how he's settling in.

I quickly narrowed his location down to the center of Elmine, where the fountain Elmesia showed us was. As I stepped forwards, space warped making it so that the moment my heel touched the ground I was at the fountain.

I always loved doing that.

- Elmesia El Ru Sarion -

After Felix left she looked back at her… father. It was still quite odd to call someone that. She had been alive for thousands of years now. She should have grown out of the desire of wanting a father, and she had. But she couldn't deny that a part of herself was happy at finally having a complete family.

It was still astonishing to her how Felix had managed to restore her father's memories. Even if they weren't truly gone, they would have been suppressed in his soul. Undoing something like that would require vast amounts of knowledge over the soul, knowledge that even her mother likely did not possess.

So for a Daemon as young as Felix to do something like that was truly incredible.

It was only right that the one who held her interest was capable of that much.

Her mother looked over the moon as she held her father's arm in a tight grip, gesturing her forward.

Elmesia let out a soft sigh. It was strange. After so many centuries of being a pillar of strength, wisdom, and authority, her mother was acting like a young maiden reunited with her long-lost love. Though, to be fair, she quite literally was a young maiden reunited with her long-lost love.

Once she was standing in front of her father again, her father slowly reached a hand out, cupping her cheek gently.

Elmesia stiffened at the touch. She was only used to her mother doing that, but she did not pull away.

His hand was warm and surprisingly comforting.

For a brief moment, neither of them spoke. Her father studied her, his golden eyes filled with emotions she couldn't decipher.

"You've grown into a fine woman." He said with a proud smile.

Elmesia swallowed, unsure how to respond. She was the Divine Empress. She had been showered in compliments, but those were the compliments of a subject to their ruler. This was the complement of a father to his daughter. She wasn't used to it.

"I had to be." She finally settled on.

Her father's expression softened, there was guilt on his face which made her feel a bit bad since she hadn't meant anything by the comment.

"I'm sorry. I should have been there." He admitted. "For both of you."

Her mother, still clutching his arm as if she feared he might disappear, squeezed his hand. "You're here now." She said firmly. "That's what matters."

Her mother led her father to one of the seats, taking the seat beside him. She chose to sit across from her mother and father so she could face them both.

After a few moments of silence, she spoke up. "This is rather awkward."

Her father chuckled. "I suppose it is. Very well then. I would like to get to know my daughter. Is that fine with you Elmesia?" He seemed perfectly at ease with her mother sitting next to him. It was as if they hadn't been apart for thousands of years.

She smiled. "More than fine. I have heard many stories about you from many people, but I'd like to get to know my father as well."

Her mother beamed, and her father chuckled. "That makes me glad." He said.

"Though do you not need rest? From what I understand, you were put in a coma."

Her father shook her head. "Whatever my benefactor, Felix, did to me, has left me feeling like I've been restored to my peak condition. I'm still weaker than I remember myself being, but I am no longer a True Hero, so that is likely why."

Sylvia gasped. "Truly!?"

Her father nodded with a sad smile.

Her mother closed her eyes. "I see… I am sorry, Sarion. I know how much being a Hero meant to you."

"Hahaha, no need to apologize Sylvia. It wasn't your fault. Besides, who says I need to be a True Hero to be a Hero." Her father said with a smirk.

Her mother rolled her eyes.

"Enough about me, I'd like to hear about you, Elmesia." Her father said, and with that, the awkward atmosphere had been broken as she shared a bit about herself.

She shared a bit about what happened after his "death". How her mother got all the Elves under control and ruled them until she was ready to take over. How she turned the Elves into one of the most prosperous races in the world, with a Dynasty that few would dare to challenge.

She shared a bit about what had happened in recent history, the Demon Lords and the Heroes that had popped up.

"So my benefactor is a Demon Lord then?" Her father said with a laugh. "How ironic!" When her father was active in the past, the only Demon Lord had been Guy Crimson, the Lord of Darkness.

He was rather surprised at there now being an entire council of them, though he was put more at ease once they told him that the power levels within the Nine Sovereigns seemed to vary greatly.

Elmesia nodded. "The current generation of Demon Lords are quite different to the older generations. I have entered an alliance with some of them."

"Fufufu. Surely your opinion is not being swayed by any less than pure thoughts, my daughter." Her mother said with a mischievous smirk.

She held back from groaning as her mother was back to her old teasing ways.

"It seems there is a story I will have to hear about later." Her father said.

Sylvia nodded, a certain gleam in her eye. "Fufufu, it seems our daughter has an interest in Felix. Just before she spoke about your situation she seemed to be in an awfully amusing state." Her mother said to her father.

Her mother was acting completely normal with her father which was heartening.

"Hohoho, is that so?" Her father said with a smile, seemingly going along with her mother's teasing for the sake of it. "But you can tease our daughter about that later, Sylvia. For now, I would like to hear of her life, not what historical feats she has accomplished."

Her mother spoke a bit about her early days, what she was like as a child and whatnot. She spoke about what happened after her father's death; how the Elves were all rather split apart before her mother stepped in and consolidated them all under her.

She told her father that his mother was doing well and that he had a new brother who her father seemed eager to meet. She was sure that Erald would be happy. He admired her father greatly as someone who was raised hearing stories about the legendary Elven Hero, Sarion.

Her mother went on to speak about how she eventually became the Empress and had been ruling the Sorcerous Dynasty of Sarion ever since then. Her mother spoke about her own strength and how both of them acquired Ultimate Skills, which her father just laughed at.

"Hohoho, it seems my daughter has grown stronger than me then!" Her father let out an amused laugh.

Elmesia allowed herself a small smile at her father's laughter. It was strange, hearing that sound. It wasn't as if she had memories of it, but it still made her happy.

"I would not say that." She said modestly. "Strength is more than just power. You were a True Hero, and the legacy you left behind still shapes the world today."

"Hohoho, she's humble too!"

Her mother rolled her eyes. "That's just with you. Normally she preens under the praise of her subjects."

She could feel her cheeks heat up at her mother's betrayal.

"Hahaha, that's fine too, my dear. Everyone deserves to be recognized for their efforts."

She found herself nodding along with her father's words. It was only right that he understood. She was the Divine Empress, so of course she should bask in her subject's worship.

After her father understood the current state of the world and her position, they got into more personal things, such as her hobbies, favorite foods, and whatnot.

"She seems to have inherited your teasing nature, Sylvia..." Her father huffed.

Her mother merely smirked. "She's still quite weak to me despite that."

Her father rolled his eyes. "Yes, yes."

"Now that we have gotten to this topic, Elmesia, do tell me why I can sense that a part of your Spirit is missing." Her mother said with a dangerous glint in her eye. "If someone has done something to you, then merely tell me their name."

Her father also grew serious. "We may have only just met, and I may be weaker than I was in my prime, but I will also stand by your side, daughter."

It brought a smile to her face that her family was willing to go to such lengths. "No one has done anything to me. I did this to myself."

Both her mother and father relaxed.

"Oh? What games are you playing then, my daughter?" Her mother said with a sigh. It said something that her mother immediately knew it was just her playing a prank if no one did anything to her.

"When Felix last visited I had a part of myself possess a homunculus and act as a maid for him to mess with him a bit. But… that's escalated quite a bit." She said, not explaining what she meant.

It would be rather awkward to explain to her mom and dad that Felix was sexually toying with her through her homunculus, intentionally or not. She was too prideful and curious to back off now. She had even taken to researching more Pleasure Magics and Sex Magics just so she could get back at Felix as Evelyn.

And she wasn't going to be giving her mother more teasing material over her.

Her mother rolled her eyes. "Foolish daughter." Her mother scolded. "I'm sure Erald has already scolded you, so I will not say anything."

Her father merely stayed silent, making her mother look at him weirdly. "Do you not have anything to say?"

Her father let out a sigh. "I am worried about her, but I trust that she knows what she is doing. I have been absent from her life for so long, I do not have the right to appear and scold her for her decisions."

Her mother seemed conflicted hearing that before she sighed. "We will speak more about this later."

Her mother turned back to look at her, a teasing smirk that made her fear what would come out of her mother's mouth now. "So, you are playing as his maid then, hmm?"

She slowly nodded, not knowing where her mother was going with this.

"Has he had you fulfill any of the duties a maid owes to their master." Her mother said as her grin grew wider.

This was one of the few topics that her mother always got her on. It wasn't her fault that any male who had her interest ended up failing to meet her expectations. And then the few that did meet them were socially awkward and seemed to not even know what a woman's touch was! They were all hopeless!

"Ugh." She groaned.

Her father seemed like he didn't wish to be here for this topic which only seemed to push her mother forwards as she gripped his arm tight, preventing him from leaving.

It seems her mother used to bully her father in this fashion as well. She met her father's gaze, a sudden comradery forming between them.

Her mother's grin only widened at her reaction, clearly savoring the opportunity to tease her daughter. "Oh, my dear Elmesia, that reaction tells me everything I need to know. You poor thing, is your master leaving you… unsatisfied?"

Elmesia groaned again, covering her face with one hand. "Mother, please."

She looked at her uncomfortable father with hope, perhaps he held some sway over mother. Her father cleared his throat, shifting uncomfortably in his seat. "Sylvia, perhaps this is not–"

"Oh hush, dear husband." Her mother interrupted, still smirking. Her father immediately closed his mouth. And just like that, her hopes were dashed.

She didn't know he was whipped!

"This is a mother-daughter conversation. And besides, I'm quite interested to hear about Felix as a person. He is our benefactor and I wish to get a measure of the person who we now owe." She leaned forward. For some reason, Elmesia doubted the honesty of her mother's words.

"Tell me, my daughter, does he make your heart race? Or perhaps, he leaves you breathless in… other ways?"

Elmesia's face burned. "That's none of your concern!" This is why she hated when these kinds of topics were brought up. Her mother loved to tease her relentlessly about it.

Her mother chuckled. "Oh, but it is. You've never shown such interest before, at least not to this extent. And now, not only have you sent a part of your spirit to be by his side, but you've also taken on the role of a devoted little maid?" She tilted her head, faux-innocence dripping from her tone. "Are you certain you aren't merely craving to be tamed by him as a maid should?"

Her father nearly choked. "Sylvia!" She could tell that her father was dying inside.

Elmesia groaned, glaring at her mother. "That is not why I did it!"

"Fufufu, so you say." Her mother purred. "But here you are, researching all sorts of interesting magics, I've heard."

Erald! The traitor!

"Sending a piece of yourself to serve him, and growing all flustered at the mere mention of his name." She let out a dramatic sigh. "Oh, what a wicked man this Demon Lord must be, to have ensnared my daughter so thoroughly."

Her father sighed. "While our daughter's reactions are rather adorable, perhaps now isn't the time for these things, Sylvia. Especially when the Demon Lord you are speaking of is in our capital as we speak."

"Hmm, I suppose you are right. Fine then. I will let the topic lie for now, but what have you learned while serving as Felix's maid, Elmesia. Of course I am not speaking about what you learned about his… preferences."

Her father looked at her mother sternly causing her to roll her eyes. "Fine fine, I'm done now."

Elmesia sighed. "Thank you. As for what I learned, there has been quite a bit."

She shared a bit about the military power she discovered Felix to have. All the Daemons, Dragons, and Majin that served under him. Each of their powers above the norm.

She spoke about the stronger subordinates of Felix. It was safe to say that both her mother and father were shocked to hear he had three Primordials serving under him.

Then she went on to speak about his other monstrously powerful subordinates. There was Saeko, Raiden, Kurumi, Sukuna, and Ingvild. Though she hadn't spoken much to either Sukuna or Ingvild. Ingvild seemed like a sweet girl, but Sukuna was a rather demented individual from what she got from him.

Her mother seemed most interested in Raiden, mostly because they both shared an appreciation for Lightning. Her mother seemed interested in meeting Raiden at some point and was willing to offer to teach Raiden some things here and there out of appreciation for Felix.

"It seems Felix has quite the force under him. His military power alone would make him a match for our Dynasty." Sylvia mused.

Elmesia nodded. "Indeed, that is what I believed as well. Of course, the two of us could turn the tables, but his forces are still dangerous."

Despite thinking of Felix as an absolute ally by this point, she still needed to do her due diligence and make sure she and the important members of this country understood his threat level.

Her father had stayed mostly silent, seemingly content to watch the two of them discuss with a small smile. Perhaps it would seem odd to most that her mother hadn't run off with her father already and was still here discussing politics, but she knew her mother well enough that she was just giving her father time to acclimate to everything that had happened, to readjust.

"I suppose it is a good thing that we have such a reliable ally then." Her father said with a smile, seemingly firmly believing in Felix, which she didn't fault him for. Felix did return him to life after all.

Sylvia hummed, a contemplative look crossing her features. "Indeed. With someone like Felix as an ally, our Dynasty stands to gain much." Her piercing gaze settled back onto Elmesia, her teasing demeanor momentarily giving way to sharp intellect. "But tell me, daughter, how much do you trust him?"

Elmesia didn't hesitate. "Almost completely." Felix was strong, he had no use in things like betrayal and whatnot. People like them wouldn't allow themselves to resort to such methods either, they had their pride.

Sylvia smirked. "So my daughter is well and truly charmed."

Elmesia groaned. "Mother."

She wasn't charmed!

Her father coughed, clearly suppressing a chuckle. "Setting that aside, it seems things have changed quite a bit since I was alive."

"We have been talking for quite some time now. It would be rude to keep our guest waiting further, no?" Her mother said.

"Where did he go?" Her father asked curiously.

"I received a report that he has been wandering around the Divine Tree. He also visited the fountain." She said. He did conceal himself according to the report she received, but he didn't do anything special. A basic illusion spell was all he used, not even a particularly high level one.

Her father blinked in confusion. "The fountain?" Her father knew a bit about where they were now, about how the capital of her nation was built into the Divine Tree, but he didn't know everything. Back when he was alive, this Dynasty didn't even exist after all.

"The fountain is the center of the Divine Tree, where its presence can be most felt." Her mother shared.

Her father nodded in understanding.

"Shall I call him back then?" She asked her parents. If they had nothing further to discuss that was important, it was best not to keep Felix waiting. They could have their more in depth reunion after the Demon Lord in her territory was gone.

Her mother looked at her father for a moment before nodding. "Please do."

Author's Note:

Sup everyone, back with another chapter of Daemon. This chapter is mostly focused on Elmesia and her family's reunion, showing off their relationship a bit. Who would have thought that Sarion was whipped! I didn't plan it out to be that way but it just fit so I went ahead with it.

Elmesia is in a bit of denial, but things are moving forward with her, but it'll be a bit before that goes anywhere simply because I want to focus on other relationships. Megumin still hasn't been lewded after all! But that'll happen relatively soon if all goes well.

Felix also won the loyalty of Elmesia, Sylvia, and Sarion, so now he has two more people that can fight on the Ultimate level on his side.

Anyways getting closer and closer to the world trip now! Just a few things left to wrap up.

Thanks for reading, peace.

Thanks to @Salante and @Flowerman for beta'ing this chapter.
