Chapter 73 - Chapter 73 - Relatives of Louis

Third person POV

Later, at 7:20 p.m., the bus arrived at Minalin's bus terminal, and upon seeing their destination, Hoshi and his group grabbed their belongings and got off, breathing in the fresh air of the evening time. The place was not that busy, and a few buses, as well as a handful of other vehicles like jeepneys, were also present in its perimeters. Shouts from those who called to board the other buses and of those who sold food and drinks can be heard nearby and around the bus. Hoshi and his group marveled yet had no idea where to go now. Luckily, Mariya had the documents that contained the addresses of Louis' relatives scattered across the small municipality in Pampanga, so directions had been set beforehand.

And so, through the dark streets illuminated by a few lampposts, the group began their search for the people in Louis' family tree, going around and asking for clarification from locals. And then, by 8:01 p.m., the group managed to find the house of one of the sisters of Louis, which was located next to a river and some fishponds. The house was made of wood and concrete and appeared brand new because the family had recently rebuilt it after a typhoon destroyed it months ago.

And then, the group went in, prompting the family dog to bark at them. Bokuto and Reo are taken aback, while Sha and Mariya are not. This also caught the attention of Lualhati, one of the children of the sister of Louis, and she went outside, only to be taken aback by the presence of the group from Japan.

"Um, hello, good evening, who are all of you?" Lualhati asked.

"Hi po, good evening," Hoshi replied back nicely to her. "Is this where Lilibeth lived, right?"

"Y-Yes why?"

"We are the children of Louis, her older brother," Mariya replied back.

Lilibeth was taken aback for the second time, and Hoshi further clarified that he and Mariya are Louis' children.

Because of that, Lualhati hurriedly went back inside the house and said to the group, "Come in! Come in! Mama is inside!" Hoshi and his group did so and went inside the house. Inside that house in the living room, Lilibeth was cooking dinner while her other children, which consisted of 2 sons and 1 more daughter, were preparing the table for the evening meal.

"Nay!" Lualhati said to Lilibeth. "May mga tao na kini-claim na mga anak ni Tito Louis!"

Lilibeth and the other children then heard that and looked at her and the others in the house.

Lilibeth was shocked, and Mariya said, "Hi po, Tita." The others then said good evening in response to the relatives of Louis. Lilibeth then went to Mariya and stroked her face, feeling the same roughness as her deceased older brother. "Your face…it was like Kuya Louis…"

"Yes, that was my father, auntie." Mariya smiled at her.

"Ako rin po!" Hoshi added happily.

Lilibeth was unbelievably happy to see that two youngsters were, indeed, Louis' children.
