Chapter 105 - Chapter 105 - Case Closed and a Token of Friendship from Croix

Third person POV

Having taken their revenge against Eduardo and his accomplices, Croix and his team, and others cleaned up their mess to erase any trace of evidence of their unethical, not-in-the-code-of-conduct behaviour against the suspects. Once again, Hoshi and his group were not involved in this and just watched what was unfolding before them.

Sha and Hoshi felt at ease knowing the souls of this depot scheme would be at peace and could move on to the afterlife (for Sha, the afterlife; for Hoshi, heaven and hell).

After that, all of them left the place, with Croix and some of the NBI agents bribing the janitors and security guards to keep this quiet until the right time of them being tried and prosecuted by the Philippine justice system. The depot staff accepted the bribe and promised to give their testimonies to the jury when that day came (They had seen what had happened to Eduardo, his son, and accomplices, almost all in detail and duration).

Once that was done, all of them left the place in their vehicles, with Hoshi and his group taking Croix's SUV full.

And as they drove along in the night, Hoshi said to Croix, "Hey, Tito Croix?" Croix then responded, "Yes, Hoshi? What is it?"

"I felt at ease now dahil sa pag-solve ng kaso nito."

"Oh, really? You feel much better na?"

"Opo, and I also felt that I had 'solved' the plot of that LRT movie rin po, eh."

Croix was surprised by what he had said and glanced at him, who was sitting in the passenger seat next to him, for a few moments and then back at the road. "Ah, okay. It seemed na matalino yan po, to be honest."

Hoshi then smiled. "Oo nga, I felt at peace now after 5 years of PTSD dahil sa movie na yan."

Croix then chuckled. "Oo nga. Parang malaya na ikaw from that traumatic experience, eh."

He understood that what Hoshi experienced and perceived was real for him, and he suffered under that for 5 years before that.

Now, Hoshi is free from it, plus, he avenged Manuel's death as a bonus.

"Yes, Hoshi," Kuro within him said positively and brightly while crossing his arms, "we did it. We had avenged their unjust deaths. You're a justice warrior at this point."

"Yeah," Hoshi responded through an internal voice.

Meanwhile, Sha, Bokuto, and Taro are in the back hearing their conversation, and though they don't understand most of them, they knew that Hoshi was feeling much better thanks to this solved case. Sha learned and reflected on this experience, and this reinforced and strengthened his friendship with Hoshi and others. Croix also started to reflect on this experience of solving a heinous crime with Hoshi and his group, seeing how good it was to do that with assistance from people outside of the NBI.

So, he contacted his superiors and said that the case is now solved. Mario and the other staff members in his rank were relieved that it was now solved. Hearing that, Croix said that they should clear their names in the Korte Suprema and revealed that plan to the LRT depot's janitors and security guards, who promised to give their testimonies to the jury when the day of the trial comes.

Realizing that, Mario and the others agreed and said that they would leak what they had done to the Korte Suprema by tomorrow morning.

Croix then got it and agreed to it before turning to Hoshi and the others. "Let's go sa hotel ninyo." Hearing that, Hoshi and the others agreed, and Croix contacted some of his coworkers and said, "Ihatid ko sine Hoshi at kanyang ka-grupo sa hotel nila. Pass lang ang detalye ng ginawa natin sa ating mga superiors sa headquarters."

His coworkers got it and agreed.

With that, Croix changed his route to Hoshi's hotel. There, Hoshi and his group got off with their stuff and said thank you to Croix for everything, including the ride.

"You're welcome to you guys," Croix said to them with a smile on his face. "I am happy to help. The case had been solved thanks to you guys."

 "Yup," Taro replied in appreciation.

"Well, that went as planned…" Bokuto added.

"We're happy to help and volunteer, Mr. Croix," Sha added positively.

After Sha's response, Croix looked at Hoshi, and he said to him, "By the way, Mr. Santos, those glasses na ibinigay ko sa iyo, isang token of friendship between us iyan." Hoshi was taken aback, and although he knew that in fiction, he went with it and said, "Yes, po, salamat for that."
