Chapter 878 - Chapter 878: My Brother Tortures Me a Thousand Times

Amber Heard opened her eyes and woke up from her sleep. She reached out to the other side of the bed, but it was empty. When she turned her head, Matthew Horner, who had been sleeping next to her last night, was nowhere to be found.

Perhaps it was because last night had been too exciting, and she had used up too much energy. She shook her head vigorously, slowly becoming more alert.

Yesterday, as soon as they arrived at this estate, Matthew had carried her straight to the bedroom, and then, using various tricks and positions, he launched an attack on her until she fell into a deep sleep.

She was exhausted, so tired that she didn't even want to get up.

And yet, thinking back to the feeling of soaring through the sky all night, she felt that the exhaustion was worth it.

That sensation of utter bliss, where she felt like she was going to explode, was something she'd never experienced with her photographer ex-girlfriend over the past two years.

Perhaps the toys women use will never compare to the real thing that men have.

Should she remain bisexual?

For the first time, Amber Heard had this doubt, but she quickly realized that men as strong as Matthew Horner were rare.

Maybe there were plenty of men who were as capable, but a man like Matthew, both capable and attractive, was even rarer.

She couldn't give up on women entirely, unless a famous, wealthy man was willing to seriously date her. Matthew Horner was out of the question; she had a rough idea—men like him weren't ones she could control.

Getting up and slipping on a robe, Amber headed to the washroom, quickly freshened up, and then returned to the bedroom.

Sitting on the sofa, she reached into her bag and took out something she'd prepared earlier.

It was a small, transparent plastic bag containing some white powder, along with a box of slim, rolled cigarettes.

Someone had deliberately put these things into her hands with the intention of setting a trap for Matthew Horner.

The bedroom door opened, and Matthew came in. As soon as he entered, he smelled the smoke and saw Amber Heard puffing away. He frowned slightly but didn't say much. He walked straight to the large floor-to-ceiling window, pulled the curtains aside, and opened a window. Fresh, cool air instantly swept in, diluting the smell of smoke in the room.

"Hey, darling." Amber Heard's eyes were dreamy. "Where did you go so early?"

Matthew grabbed a towel, wiped the sweat from his face, and answered, "Morning run."

Amber waved him over. "Come here!" Her voice was a bit coquettish, just like when she was at her most excited last night. "Hurry up, darling. Come over here."

Matthew walked over with big strides and saw the items laid out in front of Amber.

Anyone who had made it in Hollywood wasn't innocent. He took one glance at the plastic bag and knew exactly what it was. He guessed that the cigarette Amber was smoking was probably laced as well.

Amber took a deep drag from the cigarette and, as Matthew sat down, blew a puff of smoke toward him in a teasing manner. She clearly knew how to control herself—the smoke didn't hit his face directly but drifted off to the side.

Matthew could smell the distinctive scent of burning marijuana.

"Darling," Amber leaned her whole body against him, "Shall we continue last night's game?"

She seemed to be in a heightened state, pulling out another slim cigarette from the box. "Let's add a little something special to the fun."

Matthew showed no intention of accepting and merely looked at Amber.

She spoke with a hint of provocation, "Don't tell me you've never tried this?"

Her words carried a trace of mockery, similar to how high school boys who'd touched a girl's chest would mock those who hadn't yet crossed that line, calling them less of a man.

Matthew smiled and shook his head. "I'm not interested in this stuff."

This kind of thing was too common in Hollywood, and seeing it didn't surprise him at all. Even though the other item was obviously cocaine, he wasn't impressed.

Hearing this, Amber quickly made a judgment. Things seemed more complicated than she had anticipated. Matthew apparently had never touched these things.

If that were the case, she couldn't rush things. She needed to probe carefully.

Matthew still had no intention of taking anything.

Seeing this, Amber reached for the white plastic bag, but Matthew stopped her hand. "That's enough, Amber. Put them away or throw them in the trash."

"Uh..." Amber hesitated.

Matthew reminded her again, "I don't like this stuff."

Amber was a smart woman. Her eyes flickered, realizing that today wasn't the right time. She'd have to think of another way next time.

"Okay...okay." She didn't appear embarrassed at all and seemed very open about it. She took one last, deep drag from the cigarette, then stubbed it out in the nearby trash can. She packed away the cigarette box, lighter, and plastic bag into her purse, then said, "Is this enough for you?"

A woman who knows when to advance and retreat is the most attractive. Matthew lifted her chin and said, "When you're with me, you don't need any of that stuff to have fun."

That was originally a comment from a man full of confidence, but in Amber Heard's ears, it carried another meaning.

"So it's not a hatred of drugs." She put on her most beautiful smile while her mind spun. "It's a matter of male pride and ego, isn't it? He wants to prove he's strong without any help? It seems that way..."

She knew she had to stop the probing for today. After all, no one had said she had to accomplish anything within a certain time frame. There would be other opportunities.

Amber stood up, removed her robe, and let every inch of her body's allure show without reservation. Then she knelt down before Matthew.

Matthew didn't dwell on the issue of drugs. There were too many people in Hollywood who used them. To say they were everywhere wouldn't be an exaggeration. He had no intention of getting involved in other people's drug habits. As long as he knew what not to do, that was enough for him.

No matter what others said or did, drugs were something he would never touch.

Too many tragedies had been caused by drugs.

Besides, in the eyes of the media and the public, he was seen as a pioneer in the fight against drugs, especially after his confrontation with the Mexican cartels.

If he were caught using drugs, the fallout would be catastrophic.

Only a fool would risk it.

That morning, Matthew took care of Amber Heard, who had hoped to use drugs to reach a higher plane of pleasure. He seemed determined to show her that a man as strong as he was didn't need any substances to enhance his experience.

He also noticed that Amber was quite uninhibited. She wasn't shy, knew how to play, and made for an excellent bedmate as long as emotions weren't involved.

Mixing feelings into a relationship like this would only lead to heartache.

After lunch, Amber finally left.

"Can I come back?"

Before getting into the car, Amber traced circles on Matthew's chest with her finger. "I think I'm falling for you."

Matthew didn't take her words seriously. He cupped her chin and said, "You're welcome to visit anytime."

Yes, visit. Amber Heard would always be a guest here.

"Great." Amber didn't give up. "I'll call you when I have time."

Matthew lightly patted her hand. After Amber got into the car, he closed the door and waved as the driver started the engine and drove her away.

Returning to the villa, Matthew called the housekeeper and specifically instructed her to have someone clean the bedroom on the second floor, especially airing it out. The smell of marijuana was quite unpleasant.

In Horner Manor, not only was drug use forbidden, but even smoking was rare.

Over the next two days, Matthew was busy with work. Amber Heard visited once more, and this time, possibly feeling the urge from her addiction, she once again brought out marijuana and cocaine, hoping they could indulge together.

Matthew refused again. As punishment, he took her to the estate's gym, where he tied her to the rings just high enough for her toes to touch the ground. If it weren't for Amber's pleading, he might have resorted to using a whip.

Those rings had been installed when Nina Dobrev practiced her rhythmic gymnastics routines for him. She'd once put on quite the performance suspended from those rings.

Amber Heard certainly couldn't replicate that.

In the following days, Matthew had no time to deal with Amber. The workload for G.I. Joe: Retaliation was increasing. While the dialogue scenes with other actors weren't too difficult, the action sequences required coordination with the stunt director and plenty of rehearsal.

As always, his character, Duke, was the absolute lead and core of the film. The other characters mainly served to complement Duke.

At the same time, he also attended the premiere of a new Marvel Studios film. With the Avengers project gearing up, more films laying the groundwork for The Avengers were being released.

In the second weekend of November, the fourth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Thor, hit theaters in North America.

And there came Chris Hemsworth, who had left a deep impression on Matthew before.

"My brother tortures me a thousand times, yet I still treat him like my first love!"
