"Was I?" Woosuk raised his brows quizzically and then shrugged indifferently. "I thought I was doing pretty good before you came along." 

"Wipe that bloody ass smirk off your face and then we'll talk," Jintae retorted hotly. 

Woosuk dabbed the corner of his mouth with the back of his hand. True enough, there was some blood. The sight of blood was nothing to Woosuk, but it was Jintae's presence that ignited a competitive fury he hadn't felt in a long time. Perhaps even excitement he didn't want to admit. "Since when were you ever the talker? I thought I was in charge of the negotiating." His calculative eyes swept across the semi-circle of cautious-looking lackeys. They were disposable, like ants in his eyes. 

Jintae tightened his jaw. "That was then. This is now." 

"We're not going to play 'bad cop, good cop' anymore?" Woosuk's fake-attempt at disappointment came out filled with mockery instead. 

"You gave up that right when you deflected," Jintae snapped with annoyance.
