Chapter 496 - Chapter 496: The Mirror Dimension Finally Opens

"Hmm? Is something happening?" Clark's gaze flickered as he noticed the disciples of Kamar-Taj pausing in their tracks. He seemed to hear some kind of noise, but it was indistinct, and even with his superhuman intellect, he couldn't convert the sound into clear information.

Clark began scanning every inch of Kamar-Taj, trying to locate the source of the sound. He wondered if the Ancient One was preoccupied with something and if he should inform her about the current situation.

"Master isn't here. We'll go with you. If we combine our efforts, we might be able to construct a stable mirror dimension..." Before Clark could pinpoint the source of the sound, Baron Mordo stepped forward and spoke calmly.

"You already know what's happening? Then let's move quickly! If we delay any longer, Earth might not hold out!" Clark's eyebrows rose upon hearing Baron Mordo's words. He realized that Kamar-Taj must have some special secrets, but now wasn't the time to ponder them. Urgently, he looked at Baron Mordo and spoke hastily.

With a hum, Baron Mordo formed intricate magical hand seals, and soon a fiery portal appeared in Kamar-Taj. On the other side of the portal was the battlefield where Robert and Kelley were fighting.

Initially, Baron Mordo intended to open the portal directly to where Robert and Kelley were. However, as soon as his magical power began to take shape, it was shattered. The sheer force of Robert and Kelley's clash was too overwhelming. While it couldn't destroy space itself, it easily shattered Baron Mordo's spatial magic.

When Baron Mordo received the order for all of Kamar-Taj to act together to construct a mirror dimension, he was skeptical. Now, he understood he had underestimated the battle's ferocity.

Despite this realization, Baron Mordo's expression remained unchanged, and only Kaecilius glanced at him but did not question him.

As Baron Mordo and the others passed through the portal, Robert and Kelley sensed their arrival. Unlike Robert, who remained focused on the fight despite feeling Clark's presence, Kelley grew wary upon sensing the Kamar-Taj aura. Kelley didn't know if the Ancient One had arrived but knew that facing Robert alone was challenging enough. The potential appearance of the Ancient One would make his situation extremely dangerous.

Moreover, besides the Kamar-Taj aura, Kelley also sensed the presence of Clark, who had appeared earlier, watched briefly, and then disappeared. This heightened Kelley's vigilance to the maximum.

With a bang, Robert took advantage of Kelley's distraction and landed another blow. Kelley, thrown backward, felt frustrated. He couldn't understand why Robert seemed unaffected by external factors and newcomers, as if he had a home-field advantage.

"Why aren't you making a move?" Clark asked, frowning in confusion. Seeing Robert gain an upper hand after their arrival, he wondered why Baron Mordo and the others hadn't initiated the mirror dimension.

"The mirror dimension isn't that easy to open. With their level of power, if they resist together, we won't be able to form it..." Baron Mordo explained, his gaze fixed on the battlefield.

Upon reaching the vicinity of the battle, both Baron Mordo and Kaecilius, along with the other Kamar-Taj disciples, were deeply shaken by the terrifying aura of the clash between Robert and Kelley.

Although Baron Mordo and the others had encountered powerful beings and participated in inter-dimensional battles, they had never witnessed such a ferocious fight. Ancient One's battles at this level were never shown to them.

Thus, witnessing Robert and Kelley's battle caused their pride to fade, and they began strategizing on how to seize the opportunity to open the mirror dimension. They also doubted if they could contain Robert and Kelley within the mirror dimension once it was set up.

"No problem, I'll talk to him. You all get ready." Clark nodded in response to Baron Mordo's explanation. He then contacted Robert telepathically to inform him of the situation.

"The Ancient One didn't come? Just her disciples? Or all of them together?" Robert was taken aback when he heard Clark's transmission. He hadn't expected that Clark, instead of bringing the Ancient One, had brought Baron Mordo and the others.

In the Dragon Ball world, not bringing Master Roshi but arriving with Goku and Krillin would be a cause for joy. However, in this world, the Ancient One's power far exceeded that of her disciples. From sensing their auras, Robert could tell that these disciples might not even be able to take on the Avengers.

Thus, Robert didn't trust Baron Mordo and the others' strength. Nonetheless, he knew that continuing his battle with Kelley was unsustainable. While the fight invigorated him, the Earth was suffering.

In the brief time Robert and Kelley had fought, without fully unleashing their power's collateral effects, several cities had already been destroyed. The longer the fight dragged on, the greater the destruction. Robert realized he had to rely on Baron Mordo and the others and hope that the Ancient One's disciples weren't entirely incompetent.

"Alright, I understand. I'll cooperate!" These thoughts passed through Robert's mind quickly before he responded and resumed his assault.

However, Robert's communication with Clark gave Kelley a brief moment to catch his breath. Kelley realized that Robert wasn't immune to external influences but was just less visibly affected than himself.

The battle quickly resumed with Robert and Kelley clashing once again. Just as Kelley steadied himself, Clark vanished, and a powerful aura erupted.

"Hmm?!" Kelley, amidst his clash with Robert, was startled. Feeling Clark's formidable presence, he instinctively shifted his focus toward him.

Kelley, sensing Clark's threat level, which appeared higher than Robert's, grew increasingly uneasy. He had only known of the Ancient One as Earth's guardian but now faced two powerful beings, neither of whom were the Ancient One. This indicated that Earth's dimension was far stronger than he had initially thought.

However, Kelley was unaware that Clark didn't intend to attack him directly. Clark's move was meant to distract Kelley, giving Robert and Baron Mordo's group a chance.

With another powerful blow, Robert sent Kelley flying again, staying close to prevent Kelley from regaining his footing.

"Now!" Clark signaled telepathically to Baron Mordo and the others. They quickly realized this was their best moment to act.

With a hum, Baron Mordo and his fellow disciples moved in unison, creating a much more refined spectacle than Constantine's crude attempts. As they channeled their combined power, the mirror dimension's energy began to envelop everything around them.

"What?!" Kelley felt a jolt of alarm. Although he had been repeatedly startled since arriving on Earth, this time the stakes were clear. Recognizing the mirror dimension forming around him, he frantically unleashed his power to shatter it and regain his freedom.

Kelley didn't know the mirror dimension's purpose but knew that being trapped in someone else's domain, especially amid a fierce battle, was extremely dangerous.

However, Kelley's attempt to escape the mirror dimension wasn't easy. Robert, determined not to let him break free, unleashed his full power, combining thunder strikes and the Ten Thousand Kingdoms Heavenly Palm, and locked Kelley with his telekinesis to immobilize him long enough for the mirror dimension to stabilize.

If the Ancient One had created the mirror dimension, it would be straightforward. But Baron Mordo and the others, despite their collective effort, could only manage to stabilize it. Robert had to accept this and appreciate their contribution to protecting Earth.

"Success! Now, how should we configure this mirror dimension to deal with this Hell Lord?" Kaecilius asked Baron Mordo excitedly once the mirror dimension enveloped them. After witnessing Robert and Kelley's battle, their initial pride had vanished, but now, with the mirror dimension formed, Kaecilius's confidence returned. He believed they could fight Kelley within this realm.

With a crack, Kelley broke through Robert's telekinetic barrier. The mirror dimension trembled as Kelley, instead of resuming his battle with Robert, targeted Baron Mordo and the others.

Kelley knew that defeating Robert in a short time was impossible. However, eliminating Baron Mordo and the others to escape the mirror dimension was feasible.

Thus, Kelley vanished and reappeared near the Kamar-Taj disciples, launching a deadly attack.

But just as Kelley's attack was about to land, a red heat vision beam intercepted it, saving the disciple's life.

"Th-thank you!" Baron Mordo exhaled in relief and quickly thanked Clark. He turned to his companions, saying, "Forget about fighting. Focus on stabilizing the mirror dimension. Conceal yourselves and use your magic to maintain this space. Leave the rest to them!"

With a hum, following Baron Mordo's instructions, the disciples quickly vanished into the mirror dimension, leaving the battle to Robert and Clark.
