Chapter 543 - Chapter 543: Predictions and Unfamiliar Combat

Yes, even at this point, Alexander still had no intention of engaging Robert in direct combat. He revealed a new trick just to break through the psychic barrier and escape.

With a hum, a powerful Ki blast quickly formed in Robert's hand, then split into multiple blasts, each targeting one of Alexander's locations.

With each Ki blast aiming at an Alexander, they all turned to look at the incoming blasts, their expressions changing slightly before a determined look flashed in their eyes. Their auras surged as if they were preparing to fight desperately.

Alexander seemed to be betting that Robert couldn't identify his true self. As long as his real body could survive and break through the psychic barrier, he had a chance to escape from Robert rather than fight him directly.

But was this really Alexander's true goal?

As the Ki blasts reached Alexander's figures, their forms suddenly dimmed and disappeared, the blasts passing through their previous positions and heading towards the psychic barrier.

This was Alexander's true plan. While hiding underground, he had realized the destructive power of Robert's Ki blasts. So when he saw Robert preparing another Ki blast, he devised this plan, previously just putting on a show.

As the blasts passed through the spots where Alexander had been, new forms of Alexander appeared again. He kept his multiple figures running in different directions, believing that dispersing his forms increased his chances of escape—experience gained from years of evading.

However, to Alexander's surprise, none of the Ki blasts collided with the psychic barrier. Instead, they abruptly turned and continued targeting each of Alexander's figures.

"Damn it!" Alexander's face finally showed real concern. The Ki blasts were too fast, and several of his figures couldn't dodge in time and were hit directly.

Explosions echoed within the mirror dimension. Despite the protection of Robert's psychic barrier, the surrounding environment shattered and was gradually restored by Mordo and his comrades.

Among Alexander's figures, those with more power only suffered minor injuries, while those with less power were blown apart. More of Alexander's figures dodged within the mirror dimension, but no matter how they tried, they couldn't shake off the Ki blasts.

Alexander even attempted to lure two Ki blasts together, hoping they would collide and explode, causing less damage than being directly hit. But his hopes were dashed; Robert's Ki blasts had individually locked onto each of Alexander's figures, crossing paths without colliding. No matter how Alexander maneuvered, he couldn't evade the blasts.

It seemed Alexander had no choice but to withstand a Ki blast head-on, as some of his figures did. But Alexander was clearly unwilling.

While Alexander dodged and hesitated, Robert smirked and attacked the nearest Alexander. Robert didn't just stand and watch after releasing the Ki blasts.

Even though Robert couldn't tell which Alexander was the real one, he figured it didn't matter. He'd simply eliminate each figure one by one.

With a punch, Robert appeared in front of one of Alexander's weaker figures. The figure couldn't withstand the blow and exploded into a rain of blood.

Robert noticed a familiar energy in the blood, similar to the resentment from the bat-werewolf, and even sensed a hint of life.

Despite this, Robert maintained his focus, attacking and destroying each Alexander figure, sensing their energies and patterns. Alexander's figures, despite their combined efforts, couldn't match Robert.

When the last Alexander figure was destroyed, the remaining blood rained down, and the Ki blasts dissipated under Robert's control. It seemed the battle was over, with no enemies left.

"Don't dispel the mirror dimension," Robert's voice rang in Mordo's ears, causing him to stay alert and carefully sense the dimension.

Mordo couldn't find anything unusual, but the lack of anomalies was the greatest anomaly, especially since the battle seemed too quick and easy. Alexander's earlier aura had indicated more power than what he had shown.

Mordo, rather than dismantling the mirror dimension, remained vigilant, ready for Alexander's potential tricks to breach it.

"Damn it! The battle's over, I've died, so why haven't they dispelled the spatial magic?" Alexander cursed inwardly. He had never encountered such a cautious opponent. Robert's strength exceeded Alexander's expectations, and he had never faced someone with such overwhelming combat prowess.

Although Alexander believed his power might surpass Robert's, he had almost no real combat experience. His strategy was always about survival and escape, not direct confrontation.

Thus, from the moment Robert targeted him, Alexander never intended to fight back directly. His only thought was how to escape.

The dimensional power Alexander sought could be abandoned for now. He had lived for thousands of years; what was another millennium of waiting?

Unfortunately for Alexander, Robert had no intention of letting him go. Alexander's evasive tactics only ensured Robert would relentlessly pursue him.

"Still hiding? I'll destroy all traces of your blood," Robert declared coldly, targeting the blood on the street below.

With Robert's words, Alexander didn't reveal himself, seeming to be in denial about hiding in the blood.

"Fine, perish then," Robert sneered, forming a powerful Ki blast, its intensity controlled to destroy the surroundings without shattering the psychic barrier.

As the Ki blast released, the entire mirror dimension lit up, and everything below shattered, leaving only the wavering psychic barrier.

As the explosion's light faded, Alexander reappeared, charging towards the barrier, still trying to escape.

However, Robert, familiar with Alexander's tactics, was ready. He had anticipated Alexander's move.

As Alexander's body neared the barrier, electric currents surged within, paralyzing him. Like a moth to a flame, Alexander was caught off guard, unable to accept his repeated failures.

"Curse you!" Alexander roared, his aura surging, forcing the currents away. His strength was undeniable, even after losing some power from his previous actions.

Robert appeared again, kicking Alexander away, then instantly reappearing to continue the assault.

This time, Robert didn't use his endless combo but stuck close, attacking relentlessly to prevent Alexander from using any escape tricks.

"Damn it!" Alexander roared, overwhelmed by Robert's continuous assault. Despite having more raw power, he struggled with Robert's combat style.

Alexander's lack of combat experience over millennia showed. If he had honed his skills, he could have been a formidable warrior. But his focus on survival and evasion left him unprepared for direct combat.

"Heh, if you fought as well as you raged, you wouldn't be in this mess," Robert mocked, sensing Alexander's powerful but unfocused aura. If Alexander had been a competent fighter, Robert would have sustained more injuries. But now, Alexander's raw strength was wasted on ineffective retaliations.
