Chapter 841 - Chapter 841: The Failed Negotiation with the Greedy Dragon

Before long, under the command of the Hell Lord, a large number of demons began to assemble. Among them were not only high-ranking demons but also numerous Hell Lords who had been ordered to join. Some of these Hell Lords had even more powerful auras than the one commanding the gathering. As for Hell Lords in general, only Dautai was present. With him here, the other Hell Lords dared not cause any trouble. It was clear that this group of Hell Lords was no match for those from other domains who held relative autonomy. Under the pressure of Dautai and the other Hell Lord, Satanish, these Hell Lords had no freedom and were hardly different from the lesser demons under them.

"Move out! Let's see what courage those students from Kamar-Taj have to dare leave Earth's dimension and start a battle!" Dautai nodded in approval at the assembled demon army, then gave a signal to the leading Hell Lord. Instantly, a portal to Hell opened in front of the demon army.

Meanwhile, outside the Earth's dimension, after Baron Mordo had killed the high-ranking demon, the surrounding Hellish aura cleared temporarily. However, this was just the beginning, as the aura and power of the Hell Dimension continued to spread toward Earth's dimension, indicating a prolonged battle of attrition.

"Many dimensions are eyeing Earth's dimension, but it seems only the Hell Dimension is relentless!" Doom remarked with a serious expression as he saw another wave of Hellish aura appearing. "When do you think we'll finally not have to worry about the Hell Dimension's threat?"

"In your dreams! Even if you had the Reality Stone and mastered all its power, you wouldn't be able to do it!" Constantine shrugged beside him, his tone teasing. "You've only been in the supernatural world for a short time, so you don't understand the Hell Dimension well."

"As for me, it's different. My power may have been lacking before, but many Hell Lords and even Hell Lords have had their eyes on me. You might think the Hell Dimension is just one of many, but in reality, it's vast beyond measure. One Hell Dimension could be as large as several other dimensions combined. The number of cannon fodder demons and top-tier lords is unparalleled!"

"The Hell Dimension is that powerful?" Doom frowned. The strength of the Hell Dimension was far beyond his imagination.

What Doom didn't know was that the Ancient One, far more powerful than any of them and wielding the Time Stone, could only protect Earth. Even though she could launch an attack, she never did so against the Hell Dimension. A large-scale invasion of Hell wouldn't cause significant damage to it. It was more strategic to target weaker dimensions and deter the others...

"Buzz!" Just as the Kamar-Taj students were reflecting on the Hell Dimension's power, a portal opened between dimensions, and a horde of demons roared out, immediately targeting everyone from Kamar-Taj.

"What is this?" Kaecilius froze for a moment at the sight of so many demons, then his expression changed. "Be careful! It seems the Hell Dimension discovered that we were clearing their aura. Who knows how many strong ones they sent?"

"There's a Hell Lord and a bunch of Hell Lords. Their strength isn't too great," Robert said softly after scanning the demon army.

At this point, Robert didn't plan to make a move. While Dautai's strength wasn't the weakest among Hell Lords and he could be considered a powerful entity just below the Skyfather level, the Kamar-Taj students were no longer what they used to be. Having gained the power of the Reality Stone, they dared even to challenge Robert, let alone a mere Hell Lord. Robert had brought these students here precisely for this purpose—to let them get used to and master their power and avoid being overtaken by the desires that came with their newfound strength.

"Hell Lord?" Wong's eyes narrowed, and he became instantly alert.

"What are you afraid of? It's just a small Hell Lord. How tough could he be? Let's take him down! Do they think we're still the same as before?" Constantine, on the other hand, showed no fear. His eyes glowed with excitement as he sneered at the demon army.

Among everyone from Kamar-Taj, Constantine had the most experience dealing with the Hell Dimension. He had crossed into it countless times, and his fear and hatred of it ran deep. Previously, Constantine had lacked the strength to seek revenge, but now, with his rapid power growth, he was eager to vent his fury upon the demon army.

Most importantly, while Constantine had sacrificed Hell Lords before, he had never sacrificed a Hell Lord. He wondered if his borrowed dimensions could handle a Hell Lord's power.

"Swish!"

"Swish!"

"Swish!"

As Constantine charged toward the demon army, numerous spells shot from his hands, transforming into sharp blades that sliced through the demons, cutting many into pieces on the spot. The hellish demons, known for their vitality, struggled for a while. Some weaker demons died after a brief struggle, while the stronger ones began healing their wounds.

But Constantine didn't care about them anymore. He had already flown in front of Dautai, casting intricate spells as multiple magical arrays formed around him.

"Constantine? When did you join Kamar-Taj?" Dautai recognized Constantine instantly, his face filled with confusion. "Wasn't Kamar-Taj supposed to have blacklisted you? If I recall, the Ancient One herself did that, right?"

"That's none of your business. Since you're here, it must have been you who spread the Hellish aura around Earth's dimension, right?" Constantine continued his incantations as powerful magic surged from him, ready to be unleashed at any moment.

"No wonder Kamar-Taj dares to act outside Earth's dimension now. So you're in charge. But do you not understand the true power of the Hell Dimension, Constantine? It seems like power has gone to your head, making you overconfident and reckless!" Dautai's expression remained unchanged as magical arrays appeared around him. He sneered, mocking Constantine's arrogance.

"Boom!" Before Dautai could finish, the magical arrays exploded with terrifying arcane energy. The force of Constantine's prolonged attack was immense, and one unlucky Hell Lord caught in the blast was torn apart. Although not killed instantly, they were gravely injured.

In the past, seeing an injured Hell Lord would have tempted Constantine to claim it as a prize for sacrifice.

But now, with his power surge, Constantine no longer cared about such minor trophies. His only goal was to defeat Dautai and fulfill his ambition to sacrifice a Hell Lord.

"Shhh!" Just as Constantine's attention was focused on the explosion, a terrifying blast of hellish energy shot toward him, piercing his body on the spot.

"You..." Constantine frowned, staring at the explosion site in disbelief. "How is that possible? You're completely unharmed?"

"Shhh!" Before Constantine could finish, another blast of hellish energy shot out from the lingering smoke, this time aimed at an empty space.

"Crack!" In that supposedly empty space, Constantine's figure suddenly appeared, with shattered mirrors all around him. At the same time, the wounded Constantine vanished.

"Such childish illusions—only you would still use them. Your power has grown, yet your skill in illusions hasn't improved at all!" The smoke cleared, revealing Dautai, his demonic eyes gleaming with ridicule.

"Don't worry. You'll see the full extent of my skills soon!" Constantine narrowed his eyes. Facing a Hell Lord head-on left no room for carelessness. He took a deep breath and shouted, "Doom! Are you going to help me, or do you want me to fight this Hell Lord alone?"

"I saw you charge in so confidently, I thought you could handle it!" Doom appeared on the other side of Dautai, teasing Constantine. "Besides, he said you're in charge of Kamar-Taj now, right? You've got to show some strength, don't you?"

"Who are you? Are you from Kamar-Taj as well? Hasn't the Ancient One disappeared? Haven't you chosen a new Sorcerer Supreme yet?" Dautai asked, a second face appearing on the back of his head to stare at Doom.

"Whoever takes you down today might just become the Sorcerer Supreme!" Doom quickly formed several magical seals, sending out chains that wrapped around Dautai.

"Swish!"

"Snap!"

In an instant, thousands of chains bound Dautai, almost turning him into a mummy. This level of magical restraint was far superior to Spider-Man's webs.

"Shhh!" As Dautai was being restrained, flames erupted from his body. Though they didn't immediately destroy the chains, they burned along the length of the magical bonds toward Doom.

"Crack!"

"Crack!"

At this moment, Doom changed his spell, and ice crystals formed near his wrists. A chill spread along the chains, freezing the fire halfway, creating a standoff between the two elements.

"Not bad! This is the first time I've seen Kamar-Taj students use elemental magic. The Ancient One and Baron Mordo never seemed to like using elemental spells—they preferred using magic to conjure attack forms," Robert muttered, watching Doom's ice magic with interest.

"But if you're already using ice magic, why bother getting close? Can't you just freeze the Hell Lord from a distance?"

"Buzz!" Doom seemed to hear Robert's remark as the ice crystals around his wrists began to spin rapidly. Frost rose from Dautai's feet, freezing his entire body on the spot!

Even the hellfire burning along the chains was frozen mid-flame, transforming into beautiful ice-bound sparks.

"Impressive, Doom! But with your help, my plan is

finally complete!" Constantine grinned as a summoning circle appeared, opening a portal from which a one-eyed Western dragon flew out.

"The Hell Dimension? Are you fighting the Hell Lords? Has Earth's dimension grown this bold?" The one-eyed dragon blinked at Dautai and then at Constantine. "You didn't mention we'd be dealing with a Hell Lord in our deal."

"Are you trying to break our agreement?" Constantine frowned, his tone darkening as he glared at the dragon.

"No, no! I'm just saying... I need more money!" The one-eyed dragon's eyes glinted mischievously, its tail wagging eagerly.

"More money? The deal is what it is!" Constantine warned, his voice growing colder. "Or do you want to find out what happens when you break a deal?"

"No need for that. In that case, this will be our only cooperation!" The dragon's eyes flickered with dissatisfaction, but it flapped its wings and flew toward the frozen Dautai, ready to swallow him whole.
