(A long time ago… Before the Creation of the Komodo Demon Empire)
A tapping sound was heard as a beautiful woman looked at a document…
"… Well, at least no family wants compensation…" The woman sighed, uneasy about what she was having to read.
After all, of the thousands of Fairies who were deployed to the Katze Plains to represent the military might of Deorum Regnum, several hundred, if not thousands of soldiers died as a result of the Super-Level spell [Jaldabaoth Cycle]…
And of course, naturally, compensation had to be paid to the families who lost loved ones… At least that would be the case if those families wanted compensation.
From the most loving wife, the kindest father, the most affectionate son, and the most attached girlfriend, not a single family asked for compensation.
Not for lack of love. Not because they didn't care...
But simply because having served the Supreme Ladies's will was more than enough. Not even as compensation, but the mere thought of a loved one dying in their name was a reward in itself...
And Dont-Say-My-Name, the Supreme Ladies of Titania alongside Black Abyss, silently looked at the report...
"What madness..." She sighed, seeing the Fairies' convenient adoration of them being so... Exaggerated.
Of course, while not wasting resources on large monetary compensation to thousands of families was nice, that didn't take away from the fact that they lost Fairy soldiers, with a single one of them being stronger than an elite Beastman soldier... In fact, they were as strong as or stronger than Gazef Stronoff based on what she saw in the latter's fight with Black Abyss. After all, they were trained on Titania, and by Sir Gerald himself, with equipment made from materials not found in this New World they arrived in.
The rest of the 'losses' were also a bit problematic. Some Mercenary NPCs, albeit mid- and low-level ones. Permanent summons, and native mounts that were trained, captured, purchased, or bred...
As for the rest, the losses were POPs or temporary summons, so that part wasn't significant.
The equipment of the dead could be recovered, so there wasn't a problem there either...
But what was problematic was...
Dont looked at the other document that had to do with urgency...
"Immigration of Survivors..."
Re-Estize, the largest human kingdom in the world, at least as far as they knew, disappeared overnight, not even in less than 20 minutes.
It wasn't as if nothing had happened, there was a cause. A... Complicated and terrifying one.
The Outer God, the Star Demon, Jaldabaoth, a Boss of Yggdrasil, was somehow summoned to the Katze Plains after the place became a toxic hell of demonic and negative energy. Subsequently, the monster capable of destroying the world if it wanted to, disappeared into the cursed flames, leaving only ash and brimstone where an entire kingdom once stood…
Still, there were survivors.
Not to the cursed flames. If there were, then Black Abyss and Dont would have instantly jumped in to capture or kill him. After all, surviving that required being at least level 90, unless you had a very tough build or a specific level 85 build. Or you had a very rare and powerful talent.
On the other hand, those survivors... Well, they numbered less than a thousand.
Sailors and adventurers outside the kingdom's borders. Explorers in the mountains and forests. A lucky few who, for that very moment, were outside the kingdom's borders. Traders and travelers to Deorum Regnum or other countries. And most curiously, the village of Carne and part of Tob Forest. Specifically speaking, the area that Deorum Regnum would claim if it won the war.
It was also very interesting how such destruction encompassed all of Re-Estize, while respecting the imaginary lines of its borders with other countries. She didn't know a World Boss could be so considerate, when he could directly spread that destruction and evil across the entire world in an instant... But she was also grateful for it. Deorum Regnum remained unharmed due to that consideration, not to mention Titania, which was the place she cared about most in the entire world, not a single scratch.
In fact, not even the damned Argland Council suffered any real damage beyond its embassy.
And with the survivors of a defeated and exterminated country fleeing to the nearest safe havens, they fled to the nearest safe havens.
Of course, Titania immediately sent observers to check the place, every survivor, and every border.
A very small percentage went to the Argland Council, which spoke volumes considering there were fewer than 1,000 survivors. Another went to the Holy Kingdom, finding themselves in a rather unpleasant situation.
And the rest was split 40/60 between Deorum Regnum and the Theocracy, with that smaller number going to the country Re-Estize was at war with.
And among said survivors…
"Philip Dayton L'Eyre Montserrat. Third son of some baron." The Demon sweated, ignoring that she also came with one or two guards from said house.
But, to be honest, what did it matter now? Nor would they give him land in Deorum Regnum just because he'd been a noble before. In Black Abyss's opinion, a greater Meritocracy was implemented, so if he didn't prove himself worthy, they wouldn't even consider him.
It didn't matter if he was one of the fucking Grand Dukes of Re-Estize, because it no longer existed.
It didn't matter if he was an earl, a baron, a prince, or whatever. Their country, their land, their armies, their history, no longer existed. Everything was literally erased and burned to the ground.
Of course, they weren't going to be so inept as to simply leave the survivors to their fate. As compensation for having caused such a catastrophe, Deorum Regnum instantly set about helping the survivors in any way they could.
But... Everything was still in progress.
While politics in the Kingdom of Dont and Black Abyss were fast, efficient, and super easy, that didn't mean there weren't any complications.
Of course, shelters could be built and everything, but there were a lot of things to consider now.
International relations, integration and rehabilitation of survivors, and in the special case of a small group of survivors, some diplomacy.
After all, there were several lifelines for different people in Re-Estize. Three of them were on the Katze Plains itself, and another managed to survive by chance.
Yes, Dont was talking about Renner, the Golden Princess, along with Brain Unglaus, Renner's dog, also named Climb, and the fucking King of Re-Estize, or rather, 'former King'.
The King, Brain, and Climb had Shadow Devils as life insurance. According to the report, as soon as they detected the Super Level spell, they were taken to a safe place miles away. And Renner... It was planned to kidnap her in the name of Komodo to cause further instability in Re-Estize once the war was over.
Well, she couldn't complain.
Renner was of interest to Bachelory and Superbia because she was quite clever. The king was a heartless old man due to the massacre that ultimately caused his insolence in controlling the nobles. And the two warriors were mourning Gazef… Black Abyss too, but that's beside the point.
And speaking of her, she wasn't at the Marble Palace, where Dont took the identity of the noble maiden Nyx Morgause, and the Paladin took the name Titania.
Supposedly, she went out to take Black Flower for a walk. Yes, the rabbit Dont gave her… And the truth is, she wanted to go out with her…
Not just to be with her beloved and precious Angel~ But because she wanted to see how a rabbit was taken for a walk.
"Ha…" The Demon Queen sighed.
Of course, she couldn't just let something as important as paperwork slide… So she let her little dove wander alone with the rabbit.
Although she was a little uneasy that the Paladin seemed insistent that Dont stay and get some coffee, since going out meant prioritizing her role as Nyx, and having to be tense and restrained about her displays of affection for Titania…
The Shooter leaned back in her elegant office chair, panting.
"Ugh, I hate that she's right about that…" She muttered grumblingly.
But hey, at least she had the relief of knowing that, in Deorum Regnum, Black Abyss especially, she was more than protected and safe from any danger.
There were just a few more things to deal with… Like…
…
"Firm." A voice ordered with military firmness to the figure in front of him.
In response, the tall, murky figure straightened, tensing nervously.
"Yes, Lord Alucard." He answered obediently and tensely, like a rookie soldier facing a seasoned commander.
Titania's Commander, Alucard, a level 100 knight, carefully walked around the being in front of him, who remained motionless.
"I hope you understand why you were sent to me." The knight murmured.
"I understand, Lord Alucard."
"Tell me then." He invited the knight to answer.
"I was sent to you by the Supreme Ladies so that I could be educated in the discipline of Their servants so that I could serve them better, be rewarded with appropriate equipment if I prove worthy of it, integrate with the Supreme Ladies' perfect servants, created by Their own hands, and make up for my sin of having angered Lady Black Abyss White Flower herself." The Archarchaeologist said firmly, nervous and tense, but obeying without question, looking straight ahead while pursing his lips, formed by reddish shadows against his skin made of darkness.
"Indeed." Alucard nodded, causing the Devil to relax a little in relief. "BUT!" The knight suddenly roared, brandishing his sword with impressive speed that made the Demiurge retreat as best he could.
However, he couldn't do it in time, the blade of the weapon against his neck.
The Demon froze, swallowing a mouthful of saliva, or at least pretending to, as he watched the divine sword threaten to decapitate him in an instant.
Of course, the Arch-Archaeologist didn't even consider the slightest intention of resisting, defending himself, or attacking the Commander.
After all, standing before him was his superior. In pure and simple existence, being a direct creation of one of the Supreme Ladies, beings on par with Her Majesty, Lady Don't Say My Name, as well as in power, being a level 100 being fully equipped with extremely high-quality artifacts, while he was merely a summon barely above level 90, with practically no equipment, and what he had on him was nothing above High quality. That gave him an idea of how much Mistress Black Abyss White Flower held back... Who was an equal, no... The equal and equal of her creator...
At the same time, he was entrusted to Alucard by the Demon Queen herself, making the Archarchaeologist a subordinate of the knight.
And unlike simple lesser beings, this didn't imply that he would have any resentment or rebellion against his new superior. On the contrary. Having been entrusted to him by basically his creator, the Demiurge showed nothing but respect, submission, and obedience to the human.
Disobedience was, after all, an imperfection inherent to lesser beings.
And he wasn't an inferior being. He was an entity created by Don't-Say-My-Name herself.
Not on the same level as any of the Supreme Ladies' other servants, not like Lord Alucard, not like Lord Bachelory, not even like one of the esteemed Level 1 servants.
He was a summon. He stood above lesser beings, but beneath the direct and pure creations of the Supreme Ladies.
Even he couldn't be sure if he was on the level of Mercenary NPCs, Fairies, POPs, or if he was simply a regular, high-esteem permanent summon.
"Despite being a mere summon, who even committed the sacrilege of harming one of our creators, the two Supreme Ladies showed concern for you, so your life was spared due to the Supreme Ladies' infinite kindness." Alucard exclaimed seriously at him, lowering his sword. "And of course, don't think that gives you high esteem. You are still a summon. Despite your power, your superiors remain very clear, and you must obey even the common servants of Titania. No, any being of Titania, with one exception, Black Flower." The knight retorted.
"I understand completely, Lord Alucard." The Devil said tensely, remaining obedient as his place and existence decreed.
"First and foremost, you will learn everything we know about the Supreme Ladies, their ranks and importance. Then, about the Commanders, so you can differentiate each of them and better understand your place. Then, you will have to study and memorize all the beings created by the Supreme Ladies, as well as each section and use for each location on Titania. And only after that, I will allow you to begin physical and combat tests, and obtain, if you deserve it, appropriate equipment." Alucard exclaimed seriously. "Of course, if during this entire process I notice anything strange, any doubt about your loyalty to the Supreme Ladies, I will not hesitate to finish you off. I hope you understand." The NPC said, staring at him.
"Of course. I will give my all to prove that I can be useful to the Supreme Ladies once again. I will not let the Supremes down." The Devil declared more confidently, returning the knight's gaze.
Alucard vanished his sword, then turned around.
"Good. I'll assume you have average intelligence for a Titania Fairy, which is quite kind of me. Therefore, I expect you to learn everything necessary within 135 hours. You won't have any breaks or any missions other than learning everything about Titania. So if you take longer than that, your grade will drop." Alucard exclaimed to him. Titania was so vast, with so many individual functions and things that… Even knowing everything about Titania would take an average human about 7 years if they studied it like a university degree.
"I understand, Lord Alucard. I assure you I will not fail these tests. It would be an insult to Her Majesty if I were unable to do something like this after so many missions you've entrusted to me." The Archarchaeologist bowed deeply to the Commander, his gaze confident and determined.
"In the Library, you will find everything related to what I am entrusting you with. The Librarian has already been advised of this, so what you need is already set aside on some tables. The Supremes don't need you to know more about their Library, so don't touch anything beyond what the Librarian gives you. Those books are worth more than your own life." Alucard said to him, crossing his arms. "And I will always be watching you."
"I understand." The Demon nodded once more before straightening.
"I hope so. Leave now. Your time begins now." He exclaimed, a clock appearing in his hand, with a countdown of 135 hours starting immediately.
With that, the Arch-Archaeologist shot out of his seat at an impressive speed for a magic caster, but still slow as a tortoise for a knight like Alucard.
The Supremes had high expectations of him. And Alucard would make sure he met them.
…
"This is… More than necessary, Lord Bachelory~" In a spacious room, in a very luxurious area of the capital city, the most luxurious in fact, the royal castle of Deorum Regnum. The girl present blurted out.
"Mm, perhaps. However, I see it imperative to reward your… Contributions, however much they may have resulted in, somewhat unforeseen events on my part. Although, of course, this was within the plans of the Su- Ahem, the Goddesses~" The Prime Minister hummed, sitting elegantly and perfectly opposite a beautiful blonde girl, drinking, or at least pretending to drink, tea.
"I-I understand~ I appreciate that you have shown me such consideration, even though without my kingdom, I have no current value… Although I have a feeling my qualities will not be lacking if I were allowed to reside in the same home as the Marble Queen…" The former princess murmured, looking with a raised eyebrow at the man before her, the one who had brought her to such a place.
"Not at all, Goddesses enjoy rewarding even for things as simple as dying in Their name, so I think it's only fair to reciprocate in part and give you something in return for your loyalty. Oh, and there's no need to keep your guard up so high, I've blocked all sounds leaving this room. Your pet, and the, ahem, Kingdom soldier, will not be able to hear or see you." Bachelory clarified, both hands clasped on the table with an elegant bearing.
At this, the beautiful and innocent smile of Renner, the Golden Princess, whom all her people had once loved, speaking in the past tense due to their near extinction, warped.
Of the carefully crafted mask, feigning innocence, kindness, purity, feigning the belonging of a soul, nothing remained.
Deep, crystalline blue eyes lost their sparkle, resembling the eyes of a dead fish. The pure and delicate smile turned into a hideous, wide, emotionless smile, flat and empty… If anyone were to see Renner right now, they wouldn't be able to call her anything like 'human'. Aside from her physical appearance.
"Sounds fair~ The only ones who reward are those above~ And there's nothing above Goddesses~ Right~?" Almost as if she were speaking to a doll, she exclaimed, her expression unchanged.
"Well said~" Bachelory hummed contentedly, unaffected by such a sudden and disturbing change. Instead, he separated his hands and fiddled lightly with the teacup in front of him. "Now, I hope you understand that, even if you are no longer useful in taking control of the Kingdom or influencing it, you are still a pawn of the Goddesses. Your administrative skills will be used for the good of the Goddess domain. Which means you will be granted a noble title with a good portion of Deorum Regnum." He explained, almost sounding like an even greater reward. But Renner knew… Knew it wasn't that simple. Not with these monsters.
"What about my Climb~?" She asked Bachelory directly.
"As we agreed, he will be your pet. We will not lay a finger on him, as long as you keep him on a leash and he commits no offense beyond your worth. We do not care if you kill him, sell him, eat him, marry him, rape him, or continue to keep him as your toy soldier." The Prime Minister shrugged.
"I understand~ Thank you very much, Lord Bachelory~" She said, bowing to him. "Although…~ I suppose he's still not free from the Goddesses' plans…~ With everything that's happening at the Ex-Re-Estize…~" She muttered, looking at the table.
"No one is~" Bachelory laughed. "Even the Star Gods are nothing more than pawns for Their will. So, if the Goddesses have plans for your pet, not even I can know."
"I see~ So free will is a farce to them~" Although she said it with an almost cheerful tone, a tear almost fell from one of her eyes.
"Hm~ I'm pleased that you're able to understand Their greatness~ It's not as if these flattery of yours affects my judgment, Princess Renner." Bachelory muttered, rising from his seat.
"I understand that the only thing that does is the results~" She exclaimed.
"Indeed. Your father is dying and old, his mental state deteriorating greatly with the development of the situation. We could heal his mind and body and change his memories. Or the time might finally come when the mortality of human beings strikes him. I imagine you'll send a message indicating whether it's necessary to prepare 'help' for him to heal, or a proper funeral." The Doppelgänger said, shaking his head as if it were none of his business.
"Of course, Lord Bachelory~" Renner nodded, getting the message. It was within her power to decide whether her father died or lived.
With that, the Prime Minister turned, walking elegantly toward the exit.
But he stopped.
"Ah, one more thing." He murmured, glancing sideways at the princess, his black mask hiding any expression. "Keep up the good work, and perhaps the Goddesses will reward you and your pet with… Life insurance." He pointed out. And though the word itself didn't hold much value, the true meaning of it made the princess shudder.
"I-I will surpass my own limits to satisfy you, and above all, the G-Goddesses~" Renner exclaimed, standing up and bowing deeply to the Prime Minister.
"Your words please me~ But I prefer to see beyond just a promise. Anyway, it was a good talk. Have a nice day, Golden Princess." Bachelory said, opening the door and elegantly exiting, out of the human's sight.
… Renner took a while, whole minutes, before moving again, bringing her hands to her face.
"Climb~" She blurted out, squeezing her face with her hands. "U-Um… Umu… I must… Do more…" She muttered, returning to the important mission…
Lord Bachelory… He was a monster… No… That word was far behind when she wanted to refer to him… There was no comparison for anything with the power of everything in this castle…
It seemed surreal that she, a human, a former princess of a destroyed kingdom, was living with such monsters… B-But what she achieved, she did for a reason… One reason only… And if she were to be useful to Lord Bachelory's superiors again… She would be gifted… With her life…~
She almost fainted at that very moment, in a mixture of joy and determination, and nervous terror that clung to her soul like a parasite.
But she remained steadfast. If only for the fact that even something as minor as that, a fainting spell, could mean the loss of an idyllic eternity.
…
The wind blew through the warm, vibrant streets of the capital of Deorum Regnum~
A beautiful day~ With a bright sun, white clouds, and a beautiful blue sky~
And on the peak of a church bell tower, a figure stood.
[Maiden PNG]
She'd clearly opted for a new outfit, her old one was very... 'Dark,' and it should have been more vibrant, more friendly~
But the Maiden of Justice wasn't alone… For in one of her arms, a malevolent creature of absolute darkness was found, with the girl caressing the creature with her other hand.
"It's all very pretty, Black Flower~ And you're a very good bunny~" The Paladin, now a masked heroine, exclaimed at the rabbit she was carrying, which looked at her with red eyes that tried to fathom her soul.
'Squeak' (I will destroy you when my true power is revealed.)
"You know, all this stuff… About the world domination the NPCs crave so much, and that Dont is also pursuing. It's not really my thing. She can do it if you want, and I'll help her, of course, but doing this, taking care of everyone in such a simple way, is more enjoyable for me~ Correcting the crime~" Black Abyss explained to the bunny, patting it a few times.
'Squeak' (You will die under my feet.)
"Although it's true that evil will always exist, I want to do my best to reduce it as much as possible. I was previously incapable of doing that on Earth, but here, here, I have power, opportunities, resources~ It makes me happy that I've been able to make Deorum Regnum safer and happier than most of the countries around~" She let out, looking lovingly at the rabbit that was biting her finger, causing no harm, in fact, she was trying to keep the little animal from getting hurt by biting her.
She thought about Dont regularly, every day. How could two such different beings love each other so much? It was hard to find a way to explain it, but it was nice to know it was possible, that she lived it~
Black Abyss was always more of a solo type, she didn't much like company, and even if she enjoyed helping others, she didn't much like being helped. It was strange, but that was just how she was. She supposed some things about that Yggdrasil Player would never leave Black Abyss.
But when it came to wanting to be happy, she couldn't find a better option than Dont's company. She learned to love her very much despite the fights and problems they had in the past, and even though she knew there were still things she might be hiding from her, she didn't mind much, she had her own secrets too. Like this one~
No one really knew that the Hero of Justice, that figure the authorities have yet to catch, was actually her~
"Well, except for you and one other~" She corrected, slapping Black Flower.
'Squeak' (I'll roll in your rotting remains.)
"Help! He stole my bag!" She heard in the distance, looking in that direction, and leaped up, moving to a distant rooftop, seeing a young boy running quickly with a bag of food in his hand.
But before forcibly stopping him, she watched him, following him from rooftop to rooftop. For minutes on end, she followed him. She looked where they were going, already knowing what it was about, so she simply let him go.
'Squeak' (I'll destroy your world to the ground)
"I suppose you're wondering why I let him go, Black Flower…" She muttered after hearing the bunny's sound. "It's hard to act sometimes." She blurted out, watching the young boy arrive at a wooden house, not very ostentatious compared to the rest of the houses, in the most remote areas of the capital, where refugees were staying for now, happy. "More so knowing that not all evil is committed with bad intentions. There are people who fall into bad behavior due to the lack of opportunities this world offers. Earth was like that too. I suppose it's an important part of what we know as 'Life.'" She murmured, lifting the rabbit to her face, looking at it head-on. "We can't expect everyone to understand what we do, or why we do it. The only thing that matters is with what intentions we do it. Even the evil we just saw now feeds a pair of hungry brothers." She blurted out, sitting on the roof of the building she was on.
The wind blew again, moving her shiny white fur.
"I never thought I'd be more than a spectator, until I felt such a real touch." She blurted out, remembering Dont. "Our only goal in life, Black Flower, should be to be better, so that those we love are well, right by our side~" She exclaimed with a smile at the little creature.
'Squeak' (I'll only feel good when I can eat your flesh and tear you apart)
"You're so cute~" She blurted happily, stroking the bunny's long ears.
Just like that, Black Abyss looked up, watching the clouds moving in front of the warm blue sky.
"How beautiful~ I want to share this world with Dont as much as I can~ To say goodbye to all the bad things in the past when there's so much faith and hope right now~ To be a moon that always shows her the warmth of the sun~ To be able to spread my wings so I can travel with her wherever she goes~" Black Abyss didn't expect to be able to do anything more than that when she had the chance.
'Squeak' (That's it, keep it up, kill me of boredom.)
Black Abyss laughed, feeling Black Flower's little claws trying to scratch her, but she jumped up, looking back.
"There she is! Catch her!" Soldiers, or rather summons, exclaimed, jumping from roof to roof in her direction.
"Well, we're out of time~ Let's go home~" Black Abyss blurted out with a smile, hidden by her mask, turning toward the edge of the roof. And using a scroll… "[Message]~" She dropped backward to the ground, but mid-fall, a [Gate] opened, trapping her and making her disappear from the area.
She… Appeared in an area of perpetual darkness, where any negative and harmful effects were instantly eliminated.
'Squeak…?' (God…?)
"Thank you, Hadeusdon~ You make things so much easier for me~" Black Abyss said to the gigantic being, sitting on a dark throne in the middle of the immense room.
However, he said nothing, his mere presence asleep, dull, as if what stood before the paladin was nothing more than a lifeless doll…
But a sound betrayed what was happening.
"Zzzz…" The Giant snorted, making Black Abyss sweat drop…
"Ha…~ Well, I guess it's okay~" She sighed, looking at Black Flower and setting him down. "Wait here with Uncle Hadeusdon~ H-~?" Although before she could finish her sentence, the bunny was already climbing up the Paladin's leg with all the speed its little paws could muster.
'Squeak!' (Don't leave me here with God!)
"Come on, come on~ Have you grown so attached to me that you don't want me to let you go~? Very well~" She said warmly, picking Black Flower up again and placing him against her chest. "Come on~ I'll change first and we'll go back to Dont's~ She gets sad if she goes more than 11 minutes and 42 seconds without me~" She explained, with the Paladin suddenly disappearing from the dark place, leaving no trace behind. Just as she disappeared, dozens of high-level negative and harmful effects appeared in the immense room of darkness, with a gigantic amount of radiation emanating from the hibernating NPC.
…
"We're back, love~" The voice of the dove she loved so much immediately caught her attention, as the door opened and revealed that white-haired Angel, holding a black rabbit in her arms, who was trembling slightly for some reason, as if she had seen God.
Instantly, the Demon looked toward Black Abyss with her eyes wide open, a smile quickly forming on her face.
"Dove~" Dont hummed, dropping what she was doing and standing up from the chair.
And if it weren't for the rabbit in her arms, she would have crashed into the fat-assed girl at full speed~
"I think Black Flower has grown quite fond of me already~ He doesn't want me to let go~"
'Squeak…' (God is here…)
"Um…" The Demon Queen looked at the terrified rabbit and hesitated a bit… But she didn't know much about rabbits' emotions either, so perhaps she was wrong. "Maybe~" She laughed softly before approaching the Paladin and giving her a lovely, soft hug, rubbing her cheek against hers. "Ah~ I missed you~"
"Hehe~ Me too~ I've been thinking about you~" Black Abyss confessed, giving the Demon a peck on the cheek. "Ah~ How did it go with the Re-Estize?" She asked curiously, tilting her head.
"Oh well…" Dont paused, looking down at the documents on the table. "It's complicated, really. While there aren't many survivors, there are still some complaints and a slight delay in moving them inside the walls. Though there isn't much work to be done, so it should be resolved by tomorrow or the day after." She explained.
"It's okay~ I have a feeling someone will be helping them too~" Black Abyss blurted out, smiling at the Demon. "I want to take a shower~ Will you join me~?" She asked with his bright smile.
Changing her somewhat complicated expression, Dont smiled widely, clearly eager as she lightly bit her lip.
"Fu~ But of course~ How else can you wash your back~?" She purred, caressing the Paladin's shoulders.
"Hey… You didn't have to say it like that in front of Black Flower… But okay, I'll help you with the stress~" She replied, bringing her face closer and giving the Demon Queen a peck.
"Mo~ How precious~" The Shooter hummed happily, feeling much more relaxed.
Trouble with simple refugees could wait~
…
Tired but relieved footsteps crossed the border checkpoint at the walls of Deorum Regnum's capital.
A weary group of soldiers advanced with jubilation when they finally saw the place they had suffered so much to reach.
Kelart Custodio looked ahead, gritting her teeth in anxiety, however. She saw the wide variety of Demi-Humans mingling with humans and other races as if nothing had happened on the streets…
No. She couldn't let his dislike of Demi-Humans get the better of her now. Not when a greater threat was stalking her country.
On the other hand… Disturbing dark eyes, cloudy and surrounded by natural bags, as if always tired or annoyed, releasing a disturbing sense of murder even if not releasing any, looked up.
Neia Baraja watched with awe and relief at what they had been searching for. Finally... They had arrived...
She gazed in wonder at the enormous building... She had visited the capital of the Holy Kingdom several times for her training as a Paladin, thanks to her mother, of course.
And the Marble Palace made the royal castle of the Holy Kingdom pale in comparison...
