Ding Jinshi didn't know how she returned to Ding Long's place; her expression was stiff, and she felt as if all her strength had been drained.
Ding Long realized that with Ding Jinshi's appearance, she must have found out about the situation outside. He felt somewhat aggrieved as he had just learned about it himself, and hadn't expected that Gu En would spread the news so thoroughly overnight.
"Are you okay?" Ding Long asked with concern as he looked at Ding Jinshi.
"No," Ding Jinshi sat woodenly on the sofa and said in a low voice, "If I had known, I wouldn't have come back."
"Are you blaming me?" Ding Long sat down in front of Ding Jinshi, his gaze fixed on her. "I didn't know Gu En would do this, that she would involve us in stirring up gossip that everyone knows about. If you're upset, I can clarify things with everyone."
