He yawned, opened his bleary eyes, and noticed that it was dark outside. Thinking it was the middle of the night, he looked down and kissed the little baby smiling so widely that their mouth couldn't close. In his dreamy voice, he asked, "What kind of sweet dream did you have?"
With soft jade nestled in his arms, he caressed her up and down. Her body felt incredibly smooth and supple—pregnancy had made her a bit fleshier, no longer the bony figure she used to be. It turned out he had grown addicted to touching her.
Chenxing's smile gradually faded away. "I didn't dream about anything."
His humid breath landed on the top of her head as he raised an eyebrow. "Then why are you laughing so happily?"
