"Mrs. Xi must be very busy." Li Yuanyuan stuck her tongue out playfully.
"Alright, when's the gathering next week?"
Lan Xin Ai held her hand. It had been so long since she had gotten together with everyone; this was the perfect opportunity to catch up.
"Next Wednesday night. I'll send you the address then."
Li Yuanyuan was tempted to suggest she bring Mr. Xi along, but recalling the small-scale nature of her birthday party, she immediately dismissed the idea of inviting him.
"Alright, I'll definitely be there next Wednesday."
"It's settled, then. If you don't show up, I'll never speak to you for the rest of my life."
"Isn't that a bit too harsh?"
Lan Xin Ai opened her mouth, slightly bewildered.
"It's exactly that serious." Li Yuanyuan snorted, then chuckled. "Enough chit-chat; I still need to check on the ward. I'll come by to see Xiaoyan later."
"You don't need to. Xiaoyan's fever has come down; I'm planning to take him home."
