"Mom." Lan Ruowei opened the door to the hospital room, happily calling out.
Xu Meili turned her head and saw Lan Zhongxuan walking in. Her face immediately fell, but when she caught Lan Ruowei's gaze, she managed a smile, "Zhongxuan."
"How's Dad doing?" Lan Zhongxuan stepped forward to check on Grandpa Lan.
Grandpa Lan lay with his eyes closed, looking very serene.
"The doctor said he should wake up in the next couple of days," Xu Meili said, holding back her anger.
Beside her, Lan Ruowei set out breakfast with a cheerful smile, "Dad, Mom, let's eat breakfast."
"I'll skip it, you guys eat. I'll come back tonight to see Dad."
Lan Zhongxuan said, about to leave.
"Dad." Lan Ruowei hurriedly grabbed him, pleading, "We haven't had breakfast together as a family in a long time, Dad."
Lan Ruowei's pleading tone softened Lan Zhongxuan's heart, "I'll sit with you for a while."
