"It hurts."
Lan Xin Ai rubbed her head and looked resentfully at Xi Yemo. When Mr. Xi was feeling uncomfortable, she spoke up: "Honey, what's your relationship with him?"
The little woman's melancholy tone, along with her sorrowful gaze, made Xi Yemo's scalp tingle with unease.
"Friends."
"Is it really just that?" Lan Xin Ai was very doubtful. If they were friends, she surely would have known earlier, but over the years, she never heard her husband mention this person.
"Darling, what are you imagining now?"
Xi Yemo couldn't stand Lan Xin Ai's gaze.
"If he's your friend, why have I never met him?" Lan Xin Ai's tone was a bit sour.
Xi Yemo immediately realized that his wife was imagining things again.
"Years ago, he was somewhat world-weary, had a rather aloof personality, didn't like going out, and didn't enjoy socializing. I rarely kept in touch with him."
