Ji Junxue thought about how she had a fever last night, dazed and confused all night long, and wondered if she had caused any trouble for Jing Che.
She threw off the quilt, got out of bed, and ran downstairs without even putting on her shoes.
When she went downstairs to find Jing Che, the house was empty.
On the dining table was a bowl of pi dan meat congee for reducing internal heat, with a note underneath.
[I've gone to work. Eat the congee when you wake up. I've taken a day off for you at school. Take a good rest today.]
Seeing the note, a smile curved on Ji Junxue's clean, sunny face.
Suddenly, the memory of last night came back to her mind, as if Jing Che had taken care of her the whole night.
Feeding her water... medicine...
Water and medicine?
Ji Junxue only then vaguely remembered what happened last night, and her eyes widened in shock.
She pinched herself hard in disbelief.
It must have been a dream; how could Jing Che feed her medicine mouth-to-mouth?
